Wow! I am kind of scratching my head as to why you coddle someone who is constantly hurt and never sees the field. I was strongly on the keep MM camp but the more I hear and read I was totally wrong. As for Perry's cap hit I could be wrong (and please correct me if I am) but wouldn't the dead money hit be over 10M? I would like to see the guy gone but can they afford to do that?

MichiganPacker ·
Without any hesitation at all - especially for a 12 million dollar cap hit. The only caveat would be if there was any clear domestic violence problems - then I wouldn't want any part of it. Otherwise, could anybody seriously argue that having Antonio Brown for a couple of years wouldn't be worth trading Oren Burks, Kyler Fackrell, Motravius Adams, Ty Montgomery, or Richard Rodgers for? Because those are the last 5 3rd round picks for the Packers. His 12 million dollar cap hit is less than...

Yeah they need to get ahead of this like they did Davante Adams. We can criticize late-term TT for a lot of things, but signing Adams to that deal was great considering his production in 2018. Clark's production is especially compelling considering the injuries we had to Mo Wilk and Daniels as well as the lack of production from the OLBs. He was THE guy teams had to gameplan for and he still produced. Lock him up. I'm willing to give Spriggs one more shot through Training Camp for the reason...

I'd like to see Spriggs without Cogbot - New O-Line coach & scheme might help - I at least want to see him in training camp. Next to Aaron Donald, I believe Clark is the best DT in the league - he should be locked up contractually until he's 30.

Depending on how free agency and the draft work out I would be just fine with Spriggs coming in to camp on a prove it basis. And I do believe that the ZBS is a little more finesse in nature and that might (emphaisis on the word might) be what may work for Spriggs. I guess the bottom line for me is that if it was up to me I would bring as many OL to camp as you possibly can.

One time at Ohare Airport I was riding the train from a terminal back to parking. A guy sitting across from me was dressed in Western cut suit, cowboy hat, boots with the silver tips, etc. I had on a Packers shirt and hat which I always wear when going to Illinois. Anyway the guy is on his phone talking, stops, looks at me and asks do you know where the United desk is and which terminal. Since we had just come from there I told him. He finishes his phone call, and says to me, "Thanks, I knew...

Good Offense is getting better and better (not counting the terrible SD game) Davante Adams looking almost as good as ever Jones and Williams really becoming a terrific tandem Lazard, Kumerow… and even Graham made some good catches Fackrell makes some key plays, especially at the goal line when he closed down the lane and then forces McCaffrey into Smith waiting to make to stop short. Rodgers' performance seems a bit of a struggle at times in the context of the new strategy on offense. Old...

There is absolutely an advantage to being the #1 seed because it’s very possible you avoid having to play Clemson or LSU in the semifinal game. You think O$U would want to play both of them (potentially) to win the title? Clemson and LSU have the athletes and QBs and offense to match points with the Suckeyes. As for Fleck, seems to me you either love him or hate him. I’m in the latter camp. He sure seems to like mugging the cameras for attention - whether it’s body surfing in the locker room...

Mine flies from the first day of training camp until the end of the Packers season. My dipshit neighbor across the street (bears fan) put up his bears banner and flag yesterday. I walked outside as he was doing it and boo'ed him as I always do when I see him putting up that abomination.

Didn't you pick Seattle to win too? Asking for a friend. I watched the way the Niners attacked Vikings in 2nd half. Run the ball. Same thing Packers did on a Monday Night. Don't tell me they didn't use some tape from Green Bay to beat the Vikings. Packers beat them twice. That's no accident. Anyone that thinks Packers can't win this game is either.... 1) A Viking fan. 2) Doesn't know football. I promise you, the Niners are ready. Their fans are terrified due to previous games where Packers...

Hey Excalibur, My point is that you don't panic and reach and burn mortgage draft capital unless you're absolutely sure you have the next Mahomes or Rodgers. You can find good QBs in lower rounds. Just for fun, I looked up the 2019 QB starters not drafted in R1 and their draft number: Carolina: Kyle Allen (UDFA), Will Grier (100); Bengals: Dalton (35); Cowboys: Prescott (135); Denver: Drew Lock (42); Detroit: Blough (UDFA); Indy: Brissett (91); Jacksonville: Minshew (178); Miami: Fitzpatrick...

What we do know is that Vonnie Holiday wasn't the player Wolf traded up to get...it was DB Shaun Williams from UCLA. But then Vonnie was still on the board and Wolf snatched him instead https://www.drafthistory.com/index.php/years/1998

The Sixers are 9-18 on the road. Think about that. Except for maybe a dozen teams in the league you should be able to at least be competitive away from home and Philly is awful. Butler is right that team is soft but I will go a step further. They have no heart and lack any type of leadership on that team. I know they added size to contend with the Bucks but at their current pace they are slotted 6th the East. Unless things turn around they will be a road playoff team and stand a good chance...

According to Packer Notes, Pack opened training camp with 88 players under contract. Guess how many played a game for another team in the National Football League? The answer is 3. How amazing is this? Well, as of Thursday morning, no other team in the league has fewer than *16 such players. Ted you are ridiculous.

Draft and develop is more than just developing drafted players. It is developing all the players you bring into camp. And that is something TT and MM and the rest of the staff are extremely good at doing.

Say Trophies, Love your contributions though I think your posture is highly spiky. During training camp, so many players were qualified as so dang good it seemed a Lombardi trophy a given. Now the Pack's performance is such that the coach is not far behind getting canned? The Giant loss is a tough one, but they were on the rise and there was the tragedy that took place. The Seattle loss last year? Was it McCarthy's fault the DB knelt down? Or that the TE tried to catch the on side kick? Or...

Positive Maybe TT will finally see MM is a horse's ass of a coach. He has taken a team which has been good for at least 5 years and totally screw them up with his; failure to see his D coord is way past predictable; his experimenting with various training camp protocols; surrounding himself with extremely mediocre coaches and his pigheaded failure to recognize his mistakes! Negative The whole damn mess!!!

I honestly think the increased motivation in Raji was brought on last year by the Julius Peppers signing. Raji must have been dying to get on the field this year after having to take all of last season off due to the bicep. He looked awesome in camp last year, and he did this year too. Good to see that fire in his play again. That's contagious.

Raji won me over last season when despite being on IR (and getting paid his season's salary of $4 million just for a week or two of training camp) he stayed with the team all season and kept in the ear of Guion, Pennel, Boyd and the D in general. A presence at every game and many practices. He could've just gone and porked out but no. Kept it up with a great offseason and rehab. I think he took it on himself after Ryan Pickett left to be the leader of the big boys.

One battle this camp that should be interesting is the number 3 WR position. I have no Geranimo Allison hate goin' on, but when you go back and look at any games with a healthy Aaron, getting separation and speed on this offense is still a major issue. It would be really cool to see one of these 3 kids that the Packers drafted, all above 6'3 and with sub 4.4 speed slide into that 3rd position. Seeing AR run around the field for 7-9 seconds before someone finally gets open can't go on.

I don't disagree with what you've said, but keep in mind Rodgers himself is a big reason why the O-line has to block so long. 12 is so turnover-conscious, and also is always looking for splash plays. He loves him some scramble ball. This offense has always worked best when 12 has the threat of a running game and starts out games throwing and hitting quick passes in rhythm. It pulls safeties and linebackers out of Cover 2 and 3 and opens up more of the field. Maybe now with Graham and some of...
