Jimmy Johnson needs to be educated. He says "Dom Capers has the GB defense playing like a playoff defense". Sounds like we should give DC a raise.

Damon Harrison and Janoris Jenkins are the only Giants that scare me. They're a beatable team, just reduce the impact those two have and don't let OBJ get behind the D. Thats pretty much the formula for all the teams in the playoff. Don't let Vic Beasley and Julio Jones run the game, don't let Dak Prescott or Elliot get in rhythm, don't let Jimmy Graham or Michael Bennett dominate, etc.

Landon Collins has had a great year. Secondary as a whole is pretty solid, but they've benefitted from strong d line play. I'm not sure if Cook played the first time they played, but he might be key to both run and pass game on Sunday.

Thanks Micah. Will share that with our 5th grade neighbor kid. Such detailed strategy talk !!! Thinking about Hyde, Gunter, whoeverthe****, and even Burnett manning the CB position ...now that the position is a train-wreck. They might be slow-footed but at least they have been more assignment sure than Randall and Rollins. Those guys have simply been undependable....poor technique, missed assignments, missed tackles, etc... Hopefully just confused kids that can turn it around, but injuries...

And had the Packers ended up traveling to Seattle there would have articles and columns about the playoff choke there. Recent Packer/NYG playoff history at Lambeau is admittedly ugly but it's a new game and that hubris isn't warranted.

Interestingly enough, the majority of NFC playoff teams this year seem to be all offense and suspect defense. NYG and Seattle are the 2 exceptions, but either are beatable. Just because they can play some defense, I'd pick either one for toughest match-up. Teams like DallAss, Detroit, and even the Packers, to a lesser extent, depend on big plays and are capable of quick strikes for TDs. Atlanta is a race horse; they just dare you to keep up. In the end, the best defense can be a good...

He's the one guy on their defense that worries me. I remember Gilbert Brown smothering Steve Young in a playoff game at Lambeau and Young was never right the rest of the game. The o-line needs to keep #12 clean and the Packers win, it's that simple.

Bingo. Amongst Packers/Giants playoff matchups in the past, the team that had Marshall Newhouse has never won a game (Of course it was only 1 game, but you get my point. . The Giants will experience the Newhouse factor this weekend..... I hope. In the 2007 and 2011 playoff matchups, the Giants did win the battle of the trenches in both games. I don't know that they can do that this time with an O-Line as shaky as what they have today. I don't necessarily expect the Pack to dominate the...

Giants like to blitz their DBs, so I think for this game Monty & Michael should be able to block blizters if Rip can't play. Adjustment Giants may make would be to blitz their big LBers, who Monty & Michael may have problems with. Biggest problem could be if MM had Rip in many personnel groupings for this game & has to scratch them come game time.

Is this going to be another "Instant Classic" that the Packers lose? Nothing will surprise me today. N-O-T-H-I-N-G! I hope the 2 games today are better than the 2 games yesterday. Rich Eisen, Faulk & Irvin picked the Giants. So did Cynthia Frelund Giants 27-26. I'd rather the Packers get completely blown out of Lambeau than lose another gut-wrenching playoff game.

No matter what happens today, I want to go on record as saying that I'm proud of this team and what they have done since going 4-6. I was one of those who was calling for a clean slate (I'm sure someone can dig up my old posts if needed). I was calling for a lose out the rest of the season to improve draft status. I am enjoying my crow. I've browned it a little and thrown it into a great roux. I'm serving it as kind of an etouffe over some dirty rice. I figured a cajun theme would be nice.

I remember..... No matter what happens in the playoffs this year, changes are needed to stay competitive. I love this team & I'm thankful they are in the playoffs. FYI....Currently the home team is winning/has won every playoff game this year. Let's hope that trend continues. The finality of it all sucks but we can & will prevail. How about an instant classic in our favor today?? I would really enjoy that.

This is similar to what I was thinking this morning. If we do lose can it just be a close game not any last second gut punch. Not a blowout or a lose on the last play of the game horror, but a loss that is melodramatic enough for us to never have to see it put on some NFL network highlight list for us to make that mad dash for the remote.

Allison faces marijuana charges C'mon, man. The Green Bay Packers gives the kid an opportunity to be an NFL player, and this is how he acts? I get the pro-legalization argument re marijuana and I support it. But the kid knew the rules. Why risk an NFL career for a little smoke? Also, how do we expect the NFL to handle this? Let is play out? Drug test him? Suspend him during the playoff run?

From the story "The NFL does not take action on substance-abuse charges until after the court case is resolved. If Allison were to be convicted, he could face discipline under the league's substance-abuse policy." This case will be continued until the Packers season is over, whenever that is.

EXACTLY Konkrete! I think sometimes some fans lose sight of what we are watching right now. We could be watching one of the best stretches of games any QB has EVER played. One of my favorite things about AR is that he doesn't pee down his leg and throw 6 INT's by forcing things. He throws the ball away and makes the right decisions over and over and over again. Enjoy this ride while we can because anyone who remembers the dark days of this franchise knows great QB's do not grow on trees.
