Tillman, like Forte and Megatron, is one of those guys I feel bad never got a ring. Talented CB, extremely savvy, definitely a guy I hated seeing GB play. Let's get him to replace Witt as CB coach when Witt moves up to DC 
(someone had to say it...).
The rest of the NFC Central/North has squandered the careers of some of the best players to ever play their respective positions in the last 25 years. Sanders, Moss, Urlacher, Megatron and AP. I won't lose a whole lot of sleep for most on that list, but it's still the reality.
Just reinforces that QB is by far the most important position in all of sports.
I wish I had all of the 2009 regular season games to watch Woodson in again. He was ridiculous. Saboteur extraordinaire.

Rewatching that vid shows how much CMIII probably misses Woodson. The two of them that year were amazing.

Tillman and Woodson are probably the two best CBs at stripping the ball. Rare for CBs to that good at tackling that they can consciously focus on stripping since most CBs need to work just to get the ball carrier down.
EDIT: Just looked it up, Tillman had 41 forced fumbles and Woodson had 32, good for first and second since they started tracking that stat. Number three is Nate Clements with 23.

Small sample but I remember a lot of his strips vs. GB were not during the act of a solo tackle. That whole D was coached to gang the ball carrier, first guy stops him, second guy strips. He did have a talent for it but he wasn't a one man show.
Tillman was a great player. 41 FF is crazy. Woodson with 32 is crazy. After that Woodsons numbers are just silly. Almost 1,000 tackles. 20 sacks (Tillman had 3). 65 picks and 11 TDs.
High School player of the year. National Champion. Heisman Trophy. Defensive Player of the Year. Super Bowl Champion. 1st Ballot Hall of Fame. Nice trophy case Charles.
I know the Packers organization is incredibly frugal at retiring numbers, but I'd have no issue retiring 21. The impact Reggie White made vs Charles Woodson is at the very least arguable. 6 seasons with White, 7 with Woodson. Same number of rings. Incredible, game changing and high impact players.
Wait until his HOF ceremony. He'll get more cheers than Bert.
Funny thing about Charles career. His numbers in Green Bay completely demolish his 11 years in Oakland. He went from 4 time pro bowler in Oakland to all world as a Packer.
No idea what Mike said to him after watching him drag his ass around camp in 2006. Something lit a fire under his ass. Maybe just the winning.

His old deal expired at the end of the 2016 season. Also, that contract was reported to have an escape clause should the Packer GM position be offered to him.

Could still have that clause, I would think Schneider would have the negotiating power as he would likely be picked up immediately were he allowed to leave.
Seattle will be an interesting team to watch now that they are handicapped by the QB position like almost every other team. They're also paying other star players very handsomely. The real test of a great GM, IMO, is if you can keep your team in SB contention by putting together a quality roster on a lower budget. Most teams high earning players are QB, LT, pass rusher with some configuration of WR, S, ILB, CB, RT, and DT charging 8 figures against the cap, depending on the team. So generally teams have 4-6 players charging 1/4 to 1/3 the cap with the other 47-49 players earning good money to minimum. So really you're putting together a 49 man roster with $80-90 mil rather than $120mil. That's tough, the good GMs can keep their cap solid and hold on to talent. Seattle seems to be holding talent, but they've sacrificed at other positions (OLine and CB other than Sherman specifically). Schneider's skills will be put to the test over the next couple years.

With Junior Galette lost for another year with a ruptured Achilles tendon, Washington needs help at the position. Help could come in the form of free-agent Greg Hardy.
Ed Werder of ESPN reports that the team has discussed adding Hardy, who spent five years with the Panthers and last season in Dallas.
Werder points out that cornerback Josh Norman would vouch for Hardy, based on their mutual time together in Charlotte. The bigger question is whether Washington would be willing to withstand the potential P.R. fallout from adding Hardy.
Just more proof that Danny Snyder is a less successful, less charming and oilier Mini-Me to Jerrah.

The ridiculous thing is that McCloughan is a fairly decent GM for the Skins (he has drafted pretty well). But Danny boy won't let him, well, do his job.
