Peterson to the Cardinals!

Adrian Peterson has been a forgotten man in New Orleans. And now he’s not in New Orleans at all anymore.

The Saints have traded Peterson to the Cardinals, according to Dianna Russini of ESPN. The Saints will get a conditional draft pick.

The Cardinals are averaging just 2.6 yards a carry and have been desperate for help at running back since David Johnson got hurt. They hope Peterson can provide that help.

It’s hard to see that happening, however, given that the 32-year-old Peterson has gained just 81 yards on 27 carries through four games this season.

So Peterson will get one last chance to revitalize his career, in the same place where Emmitt Smith got a last chance to revitalize his career. Smith gained 937 yards in his final year in the NFL, as a Cardinal. It’s hard to see Peterson getting that many yards in Arizona.

Aaron Jones is probably the better player at this time. Any Packer fans still lusting after Peterson haven't been paying attention.

Certainly has less mileage on his tires, but it's too soon to say better. Jones is definitely more well rounded and more coachable at this point. I'd rather roll the dice with him than Peterson.

The Ben McAdoo experiment in NY will be over soon. Apparently Dominic Rodgers Cromartie got twisted up at Mac  on Sunday when he was benched. DRC showed up this morning and picked up where he left off. Another blow up. DRC got in his car and left. Mac says he’s going to be suspended.

Giants are worse than the 0-5 record indicates.

Well.  The Chargers went on to win 11 of their next 12 games and did end up with an 11-5 record while winning the division in 1992.  That is some feat.

Then, they beat the Chefs at home in the Wild Card Round and then got whipped the next week at Miami in one of those rainy icky games that can happen in south Florida.
