Whatever it is, I hope Biegel doesn't catch it.  Fackrell seems to have.   The mediocrity of it all.  It's like, "Make some noise!"

Still waiting on Elliot. Still. Waiting.

I had to go back and watch Biegel's highlights to remember him. Impressive reel, though I suppose highlight reels always are. That's the guy who can shut people like me up.

Vince My Man, heal the heck up and get on the field.

Without knowing the details, my recollection is that Jefferson did not have near the stats he had while with the Chargers and I was disappointed.  I thought I heard he wasn't much of a practice player and it caught up to him.

Man, I thought the combination of Dickey throwing to Lofton, Jefferson, and Coffman was going to be unstoppable.  I recall it just did not turn out that way.

Seriously, just wanted to say that these stats seem to show what you say to be true.

Not so seriously, one thing I noticed is that John Jefferson (JJ) wore #83 while in GB, same number as Jeff Janis (JJ) now wears.  So now we know - Jefferson was suffering from the Janis jinx (JJ).  It is all so clear now.

If JJ Watt is the one unicorn of UW alum to set the standard for drafting any badger anyone has heard of, have at it.  And I like JJ Watt.

I brought up JJ specifically because it's his little brother we're talking about here, not to set some unfair standard. Scientifically, there's no 2 people on earth more alike than siblings (except identical twins).

JJ Watt is not a unicorn was exactly the point, yo. Unicorns don't have brothers.

I know the NFL draft isn't science. It's gambling. And you can't clone humans yet. So who you going to bet on?

BTW, TJ looks ****ing HUGE!!! I thought I was watching a video of Harrison.

They had Allison working at gunner. He has to know it is do or die.

Although with Janis, I always thought it was not so much practice being the problem as it was mental errors in games.

You really see the value of pre-season right about know. Guys like him and McCaffrey should get hard looks the next couple of weeks and a lot of action.

Does anyone besides MM really believe Ty is capable of beyond about 10-15 carries a game without getting hurt? My concern with him has been durability and already at TC, it's again rearing it's head.

I'm not saying Monty doesn't hold value at RB. He does, especially with screen options out of the backfield, end arounds, etc. But I just think MM is kidding himself if he thinks he has a 15-20+ carry RB in Monty like had before Eddie got Phat.

It's why I'm hoping Williams shows good things in preseason. He's had a solid camp, he just needs the reps. IMO, I see him more of a work horse vs Ty.

I don't think they ever envisioned Monty as a full time RB.  At least I hope they didn't.   I always assumed it would be a pretty dynamic RB by committee.

I'd hope not either. Then again, he did say this:

“I’m not joking,” McCarthy said Saturday, emphasizing his point, “running the football is A-No. 1 important in offensive football.”

“To go back and evaluate last year,” McCarthy said, “we had a segment of our season where we didn’t have a running back on our squad that played running back in training camp. So you have things that you go through it, because every game I’ve prepared to call in the National Football League, there’s a point in the game where I am determined, I want to run that damn ball. I mean, you have to run the football.

“And, by the way, we play in Green Bay, Wisconsin. So you don’t just starting running it in November. But, yeah, you have to run the football.”

A guy I keep coming back to is Cobb. What is his role? What is his value?

Well, he's not a #1, okay. But I think something we've kind of lost over the past 25 years is WR perspective, mainly due to QBs and stats.

Favre was a killer with Sharp, then Brooks, then Freeman, then Walker, Driver, whomever. Often there was a second guy with good stats and a lot of spread out stats.

Rodgers comes in, and there's Jennings and Jordy. Cobb has a great year with 14-ish TDs and everybody's on the Cobb bandwagon.

30 TD passes a year is good year, and Favre and Rodgers were around or beat that mark pretty consistently. And hey, one guy getting 10+ TDs is awesome for our fantasy teams! But then math hits.

30-ish TDs and one guy catches a third of them. One other, semi-random guy has a good year, for whatever reason. That's around 2/3 of the TD passes going to two guys. Just how many are there left for the rest?

Rodgers threw 40 TDS last year, which is amazing. Jordy being Jordy pulled in 14 of them. DaVante, after struggling mightily in 2015, had his breakout with 12.

If Cobb pulled in every, single other TD pass Rodgers threw, he could only equal Jordy. That's not realistic for him to be close.

I don't understand why he's any more of a risk than the other RBs? He's 225 lbs. Of the 3 RBs they drafted, Monty is bigger than Williams and Jones, who are both ~210 lbs. Mays is a robust 230. Monty looks every bit of 225 also, he's rocked up. I'm not concerned about injury, it's time to stop thinking of him as a WR. Monty and Williams remind of Bennett and Levens actually.
