Adam Schefter discusses Dolphins coach Joe Philbin declining to give QB Ryan Tannehill an endorsement as the starter heading into Sunday's game against the Raiders.
It's in video format at bspn sux, but it's a lot of the same issues. Slow start to offense, QB doesn't like the play calling, coach and QB not on the same page, Tannehills throws are off etc.
Did anyone see the NFL network last night, don't know the name of the program, but they preview this week's match ups. Sterling Sharpe, Jeff Saturday & Brian Billick were showing some examples of what they see wrong with our offense. On the safety Saturday said that the blocking scheme was all wrong, should have zone blocked it & the play didn't have a chance the way it was blocked. Billick showed an example of how Adams failed to read the defense (corner was playing way off) which should have told him to only take a couple of steps & ball would be there, but he kept going up the field. Third thing was how Rodgers blew the 4th down throw to Jordy in the end zone, should have been a fairly routine TD. They concluded that it is all these little things in combination & that the offense would eventually gel.
It friggin better "gel"......tomorrow!!
That wasn't Jeff Saturday. Funny because I thought it was him as well. On the Adams throw, Adams admittedly misread the hand signal at the line of scrimmage from Rodgers, rookie mistake, I'm sure things like that will get ironed out

Holy ****. How can a human being make a throw like that? He's a freak.
Soldier field was big time owned by Favre as well. Now its being owned by Mr. Rodgers for sure. Packers are like 18-4 in Illinois since the 1994 Halloween game at Soldier Field including the NFCCG. What a great dominance against these guys in their home turf in the last couple decades.
Was it DerpChitago or BearBite that liked to remind us of the Bears-Packers record?

That was the best play of the game. Too bad it didn't count.

Heard this morning that the Packers haven't been ahead in the series since 1932!! By 2016 this should be in our favor.
I was looking this up last night on wikipidia. After the 1920's and 30's the record between the teams was 19-17 in favor of the bears, excluding any ties. In the 1940's and 50's is when the Bears really pulled ahead and of course stayed ahead of us till now. In those two decades the bears won 30 times to the packers 9. Through the 1993 season, the overall head to head record from the beginning was 82-59-6. For a 23 game advantage by the Bears. Since the 1994 Halloween game till yesterdays game, the Packers have beaten them 31 times vs the bears 11 victories. So it has taken us the last 20 years to close in 20 games on them.
So you can imagine just how epic its going to be if/when we surpass them for the first time in over 80 years.

The throw to Adams was a play that everyone loves until it results in a pick. Wilde made a good point about it demonstrating the difference between Favre and AR. Brett was completely comfortable with that type of throw and would make it every time while AR views it as a bad decision. Turnovers lose games and I'm with AR on this one.
But he threw it to a spot that only HIS guy could catch it. I liked the risk/reward potential in that play & felt is was worth the risk. I'm also glad Rodgers feels differently. That's great to hear.
I think of it this way... Rodgers has a high threshold for taking risks. Something about that play told him that despite the risk, he could be successful. He was right and completed the pass, while he continues to work mentally to keep that threshold high. Favre on the other hand was willing to take any risk he wanted because his threshold was so low and he fought many coaches to keep that threshold low. He didn't have fun unless he was taking risks. His former intestines agree.

Maybe Rodgers feels that if he had that throw to make 10 times, he would get it in that spot something like 3 times, due to its difficulty.

Initially it looked like Fuller gave up on the play and had he run through he knocks it down at least. After re-watching during lunch, Fuller got caught looking at the QB under pressure and Adams ran past him for the catch. Unbelievable that Rodgers got as much on it as he did with the hit he took.
Rodgers flushed, and hit as he throws.

Fuller breaks late.
