- Stupid Bucs fans for not discounting their ticket prices. Next weeks game the same seats are for a third of the price.

No Craigslist specials either!  Capitalizing on our fandom.  BASTARDS!

At least they were ready on defense.  The offense still needs to get some kinks worked out.

Buffalo and Tampa helped. Tackling today was very good. Burnett was on fire today. Peppers showed up. Clay was Clay. Daniels and Neal were solid again. Perry keeps flashing rediculous strength. The game is going to slow down for Ha Ha much sooner rather than later. Datone with a drop in coverage pick.

Run defense has been getting better for weeks and showed up huge today. That's the big plus heading into the playoffs.

McCarthy's clearly lost the locker room.

And people think Janis is the answer.

Who's to say he isn't.  Both Adams and Janis are developing.

Lacy's injury, should still be available next week though

Offense moved the ball very well, failed to score as many points as they should have

Clay, Peppers, Perry, Neal... and then they bring in Elliott. Lots of athleticism there. Clay and Barrington in the middle from here out. Should not see anymore AJ in the middle when the game is undecided.

Guion, Jones, Daniels and some Boyd. Playing very well the past month.

Burnett and HaHa. Attacking the LOS in the run game and playing the center field well allowing the CBs to cover.

The defense will be why this team wins in the playoffs. They will need someone to cover the TE though.

A TE on their own team who could actually catch the ball would help too.  Between Stone Hands DuhVante and Butter Fingers Quarless, I'm more concerned about the offense having that third threat in the passing game than I am with the defense right now.

Whoda thunk that statement was possible a month ago?

"The defense will be why this team wins in the playoffs."

In part, yes. IMO though, Rodgers has to play near his peak. His past couple of playoffs have not been stellar and now GB enters the playoffs with only Jordy and Cobb as consistent receiving threats. Rodgers will have to be at his best for this team to generate points. That goes for MM's play calling, too.

Eddie Lacy as a WR may be GB's best option as the 3rd weapon beyond Jordy/Cobb.

He has excellent hands and has done well as a screen threat and those underneath routes.

Adams looks like he hit the rookie wall and I don't know what's up with Boykin. Quarless has his moments but let's not pretend he's Finley 2.0. There's only so much you can do with him.

The recent play of the offense and the past playoff performances from Rodgers is exactly why I say the defense will be why they win in the playoffs... that and lots of Eddie!

Capers sucks

Bills,Bucs

also ST TD should be considered because you're putting a defense out there to tackle the ball carrier

The Bills and the especially the Bucs have absolutely pathetic offenses, even on the Sundays when they're not playing the Packers. Buffalo in the bottom half of just about every offensive statistical category and the Bucs in the bottom 5 of same.  Packers defense did what they should have done against poor offenses.

But that's what Capers defenses are designed to do, because they are designed to wait for the opposing QB to make a mistake. Look at the playoff run to the Super Bowl title 4 years ago. As great as Rodgers was, the opposing QBs made killer mistakes each time (sometimes unforced).

Wild card against Eagles - Vick underthrows a potentially open receiver in the end zone- Tramon picks it off to clinch.

Divisional playoff against Falcons. Matty Ice throws a brutal pick 6 the end of the first half to Tramon that turns what is likely a 21-17 halftime lead to a 28-14 half time lead.

NFCC - The Raji pick 6 and an interception to Shields to seal it.

Super Bowl - Pick 6 by Collins and Bush's interception in which he blew the coverage.

The one performance this year against a top tier QB that gives you some optimism was against the Patriots.

I think it's totally fair to credit Capers for shutting down the last two opponents, regardless of caliber, while also recognizing that the book on him has been his ability to beat down lower level QBs while struggling against the "elite" during his time in GB.

His game against NE is probably his most impressive since the Super Bowl, so I'm going to stay cautiously optimistic he has it in him this year.

Yeah, he's more like a skinny Ed West.

Another big -  was Bakhtiari. He was getting owned up & down the field by Michael Johnson until MM gave him a lot of help.

Offense. Yardage was there, but point production wasn't. Red zone issues reappeared.

ST Problems persist,

Hard to really judge the defense because the Buc offense is so bad.

Really?? 109 total yards, yes 109 TOTAL YARDS and an A**f**k like you is still unhappy?

unbelievable....

total domination by the D and you remain unhappy....

whatever dude, find a new team to be a fan of, ok??

When Matthews moved to ILB the whole defense seemed to play with more energy.  The when Barrington got more playing time things seemed to improve again.  The safety play has steadily improved all year as Dix gets the hang of things.  Hopefully this holds thru the playoffs and gives us a chance.

IMO, the defense's bottomline will be the play of Dix/Burnett in their totality ... Support in the run game and coverage in the middle on passing.
I think their play will be the difference, for sure if CMIII HAS to lineup at DE more ...

Hawk actually had a decent amount of snaps against the Bucs.   He still plays in the base, got removed from Dime and Nickel.

Dime = Jones

Nickel = Barrington / Matthews ( Most the time)

Base = Hawk / Barrington

So his snap count all depends on what packages Dom goes with.  I imagine we would see him more than we want to if we match up against Dal or Sea.

Quarless has been streaky his whole career.  Butternuts Adams seems to be following his lead.  Let's hope their circadian rhythm for catching the ball is cycling up.

Jones is in the dime for passing situations but if I'm a OC I seriously consider a dump pass or a straight up hand off to the RB even if it's long yardage and run Jones over.

Uh huh? Whenever Burnett screws up from now on the coaches will threaten to bring back the Doc.

LOL

He learned it by watching Jay Cutler:

I'm not certain who is cuter....

  1. The blonde next to Padd Statford
  2. The dog with Cutler

I'm going with the furry one

Merry Christmas!
