No to move away from the subject, but I saw the list of presenters and I saw that Dick Stanfil had been inducted into the Hall of Fame.  I forgot about him getting the  veterans nod, he was a great football player for the Bears and an unbelievable O-line coach. So back on point it's too bad Bert didn't ask the 40 million fans that saw him choke away the 07 NFC Championship game to tweet in his introduction

What's odd about it? She was the one to stand by him even as he was trying to drink/drug/retire his way through the league. Of course, the Crocs would have been my breaking point but...

Odd in the fact it's only been done once before, just odd he'd choose her to do it.  Mike Singletary's wife was the other and first to do it.

I would have bet a custom made glass window pane that Kick Ass woulda been handling the hall speech givin' for Brett after the white glove curbside airport service in aught nine. Those two looked like the happiest damned couple ever.

This is going to sound funny, but for me personally the most disappointing thing about Favre wasn't the torn relationship between he and the Packers.

It's only hearsay, but something that seems believable was the alleged incident that he was harassing female personnel for the Jets to the point that one of their husbands had to confront him about it and tell him to stop.

Favre basically was unapologetic for his actions from everything I heard and didn't apologize to the husband at all.  I thought that kind of thing was worse than anything else I heard.  Now maybe that story isn't true, but if it was, it shows a pretty sad and pathetic side to his character.  Sadder and pathetic than his relationship with the Pack because that was more business.  What he did in terms of harassing those female attendants was personal.

That all said, I'll still probably forget all those things and enjoy his HOF speech because the guy is one of the better natural born entertainers of our lifetime.  He has a charm to him that does make you at least temporarily forget that he is a human with some deep character flaws.

Love'd 'em before we hated 'em.

I haven't gone back to this play much. I totally remember cursing Tony out for dialing up Brett's ability to throw the crushing pick. But he was spot on.

I remember Greg going hard to Favres side when asked to pick a QB between Brett and Aaron.

Maybe there were just too many great players and massive egos to find a respectable out. Brett made Greg made Aaron made Greg better but Greg still felt he made Aaron.

In the end it worked out the way it should have.

What players feel they deserve vs what good GMs think is right is the kind of problem solving I dont ever want to imagine.

Serious bonus points that Jay Cutler lost this game though.

Not going to post it. But Robert Shaw's scene about the Indianapolis was the greatest 4 minutes of acting I've ever watched. The dim light swinging back and forth while he talked. Good lord that scene was incredible. Spielberg said it was one take. Shaw was drunk. Perfection.

Captain sees Warren strolling down the dock.

Chuckles quietly tying a slip knot....

"Farewell and adieu to you, fair Tampa lady. Farewell and adieu, you lady of Lame. For we've received orders for to sail back to Boston. And so nevermore shall we see you again"

"Ha Ha..For 25 years he's kept up his stupidity. Not a bad job for this vicinity"

I guess I don't understand the logic. Kevin Greene, whose locker is next to Favre, had a big impact in Carolina, but I don't see his Carolina jersey? He made it to the NFCC with Carolina, as Favre did with Minnesota. He only played there two years also, do they have Steve Young's Tampa Bay jersey and Joe Montana's Kansas City jersey in there as well?

Hall curatorial staff: So Brett, we're thinking about putting a Packers and Vikings jersey in your exhibit, okay?

Someone from the HeeHaw clan: Sure, can you put one them Duck callers in there too?
