Both the State Journal and Journal Sentinel are saying the same things this morning.  Joe Rudolph expected to join the Badgers and be the offensive coordinator.  Matt House (defensive coordinator/linebacker coach at Pittsburgh) will likely join the Badger's staff as the defensive line coach.  It's likely that Chyrst will pursue ex-Badger assistant Bob Bostad (currently the OL coach with the Tennessee Titans) to be the offensive line coach.  If Bostad isn't interested a backup candidate for the offensive line position is Bart Miller, who was the Badger's offensive line coach the year that Bielema fired Mike Markusen.  Miller is currently the offensive line coach at Florida Atlantic and is known to be a favorite of Alvarez.

Sounds like Aranda is going to wait and listen to all offers, and it sounds like he will have more offers than from just Wisconsin and Oregon State.

Jeff Genyk (tight ends/special teams), Chris Beatty (wide receivers), Thomas Brown (running backs), Bill Busch (safeties) and Ben Strickland (cornerbacks) are all open to returning to Wisconsin and it probably comes down to if Chyrst wants to retain them or bring in his own guy(s).

The Pittsburgh papers are saying that Greg Schiano is going to interview for the Pitt job and that Joe Rudolph has been encouraged by Pitt administrators to apply for the job.

If all this shakes out like the reporters are saying then Badger fans have to be pretty happy.  I can't argue with those that point out Chryst's record at Pitt was mediocre, I agree that it was.  But the #1 most important thing with college head coaches is putting together a quality staff.  And it sounds like Rudolph, Bostad and Busch will all be a part of this staff and now it sounds like there is a better than 50/50 chance that Aranda stays.  From a coaching standpoint the staff is looking very good.  And if Beatty returns as the wide receiver coach, it gives them great recruiters in Florida (Beatty), Texas (Busch) and Ohio/Pennsylvania (Rudolph).

Hard to figure after all the drama in Madison yesterday, but it just goes to show that nothing is ever predictable when it comes to football recruiting.

This is also very good news for Bucky.  The Badgers already had one running back commitment for 2015, Davon Crookshank, but rumors are flying that his grades might cause him to decommit.

Dude deserves his own thread.
