Early in the season i felt that if Arcia could become a consistent .265 - .270 hitter with occasional gap power that he would be a plus player for the Brewers for many years.

Now I think I may have seriously underestimated his potential.

BTW, this was the first game that i can recall this season where the field didn't have a 'pattern' mowed into it.  It looked like Tampa Bay contracted out their ground crew duties to a lawn service provider.

.....and...because I'm in Jacksonville....3 1/2 hours from Tampa, MLB on line blocked my viewing of the game because I'm in the Rays "home" market....just like they do when the Crew plays the Marlins...300 miles away.

FU Goodell!

Tampa Bay is by far the worst team in MLB in attendance, averaging under 16,000 fans/game.  Wonder what it would be if they hadn't shelled out the big bucks for the Ray tank in left-center field.

When it's Barnes turn for a fan give-away night at Miller Park, instead of a bobble head they should give out a Jacob Barnes stress-relief toy where the eyes bug out when you squeeze it.

I'll take two.

"It's inspiring, it really is," said Swarzak, who earned his second career save. "We're feeding off each other. I know I am. Watching these starters go out there and flat-out get it done, it's exciting to see. It's by far the best starting rotation I've been able to watch as a professional."

I thought Shaw got hit in the head?  Great game, sorry Kiel.

I wonder what the team era is since the break... no hitting, but getting wins.

Not as good as one would expect.   Pitching ranked 13 since the break, offense ranked 29.

Davies has been decent in his last few starts.  If that can continue and they get Anderson back pitching near what he did before the injury they have enough (good) starting pitching to hang in there.   Just need Suter or Woodruff to get them quality innings.

The hitting has certainly dropped off but they hit so well in the first half that a correction was probably expected.   Hope that can turn around as they've really struggled with RISP.

I suspect that when Rock masturbates, he chokes up a little
