Demovsky reporting House may miss the last 2 regular season games.
Davon House could be out until playoffs
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- If the Green Bay Packers need Davon House for the playoffs, assuming they make it, he should be available, but the final two regular-season games look unlikely.
The fourth-year cornerback said Monday that doctors told him he won't need surgery on his injured right shoulder.
"I still have some healing to do," House said. "Inflammation's down, so it's really just time now."
House saw a specialist last Friday after he was injured in the Dec. 8 game against the Atlanta Falcons while breaking up a pass in the end zone that was intended for Julio Jones. He was inactive for Sunday's loss at the Buffalo Bills.
House almost certainly won't play in Sunday's game at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and even the regular-season finale against the Detroit Lions is far from a lock.
"I'm praying for Detroit, hopefully," House said. "We'll see. Of course it would be nice to be out there this Sunday, but I think that would be reaching, but hopefully Detroit."
