Unga, and RB Ronnie Wingo. Wingo might be a guy to keep an eye on, and Branch could be a player the Seahawks bring in if they see any major injuries to Tony McDaniel or Kevin Williams.

Vic, can you please explain the IR process? I know all teams stash players on IR, but it seems like a loophole. Are there no regulations to this?

A player must have a six-week injury to be placed on IR all year. If you place a player on IR with a five-week injury, the club must release him when he is healthy (regardless of whether or not the injury takes six or more weeks to heal). When placing a player on IR, the club must include the prognosis for how long the injury will last. The NFL may have a neutral doctor evaluate the player to verify the length of the injury.

@TomSilverstein: First #Packers cut I've heard is CB Ryan White. Had a decent camp and should be practice squad candidate.

@TomSilverstein: Am told that #Packers RB Michael Hill has been released and they are going with 3 RBs and a FB.

@TomSilverstein: You can assume those 4 #Packers RBs are Lacy, Starks, Harris and Kuhn.

@RobDemovsky: #Packers also have released T John Fullington.

I see it this way. If they cut Tolzien he may make it to the PS for a while.  But when some other teams QB goes down and they need another one, Tolzien could be plucked from the PS then.  I guess the Packers could always put him on the 53 then but that would require a cut or a player going on IR.

Not sure the same could be said for Flynn. He may be there anytime the Packers could need him.
