I love the on air crew going to the resident in house referee for his long time professional opinion on a play being reviewed. And the long time professional gives his opinion. And it's not remotely accurate. And then the actual ref provides the ruling. Jerry Austin is almost always wrong.

I think I enjoy it more than I should because it shows how incompetent these officials actually are.

Ah, I'm a tad nervous bout the kitties........of course, I get nervous about a lot of things.....and the Giants are horrible, but they could be 2 - 0 after tonight.  And positive vibes and positive energy keep a team rolling.  JMHO.

Detroit is going to be tough.  Stafford has really grown as a Qb and is a great clutch player.

I'm so surprised the Giants are this bad - but it may be the September Slump

Why?

Because most teams don't really get back to pro football until October. Thanks to the new rules.

If the Giants are 2-5 or worse at end of October, then it's time for them to worry.

I do agree the Giants look really bad right now

Saw that the Giants haven't scored more than 20 points in 8 consecutive games going back to the end of last year. They've scored 13 points total so far this year.

After the game last night McAdoo was asked how his offense could take a terrible delay of game penalty on 4th and goal on the 2 while trailing 17-7. His answer?, "Sloppy QB play".

Jerry was from Minnesota. It is no wonder he gets things wrong. Back in the day, when Minnesota wasn't a Super Bowl contender(Ahem), a Minnesota news anchorman, known for his unending promotion of the "Minnesota Connection," went out of his way to point out that Jerry Austin, a Minnesota resident, had officiated in the Super Bowl that year and had game film of Jerry making a call on the field to show the world this Minnesota connection. Pretty pathetic of the anchor to do this, but to someone who has to put up with Minnesota nonsense on a regular basis, it was very laughable. This should go into the "Minnesota Sucks" thread, but since Jerry was mentioned here, I couldn't resist.
