No, not "cheering for the demise" Lyerla. Just not willing to feel too sorry for a guy who was offered a free education with all the perks that a D1 player has, and then had a chance to play pro ball. He had to stay out of trouble even if it was difficult. Yup, he had a horrible childhood but you make your own choices and have to take responsibility for your own life right about the time you learn to drive, to paraphrase JK Rowling.

I just wish he would get his life straightened out and help the Packers win some games.  If nothing else he has left a ton of money on the table he could be using for later in life - if not he undying love of Packer fans everywhere.  I know NE TE Gronk isn't a popular guy in some places, but he said he lives on his endorsement money and saves his salary.  He will be set for 3 lifetimes.  Lyerla has that potential - IMO.  To bad for himself and his family it will never be reached - they way things are now.
