No schit- my younger brother and I used to have fun throwing snowballs at the pigs on a farm we visited for fresh eggs, roasting chickens etc. Then one time the old farmer saw what we were doing to his livestock... and we're lucky we lived to tell the story.

Don't mess with old farmers

I had a Walker hound/Chow mutt.  She ran like crazy the 1st two years - got to know all my neighbors.  Came home one day to discover she had been shot in the back leg, probably a .22, kinda shattered one of the bones.  A vet friend stopped by day of and we got her on antibiotics and took her to the vet next day.  Vet said it'd cost something like $1500 to fix her up.  Sorry, ain't spending that kinda money on a humane society adoption.  Kept her on antibiotics, she rested for a week and then she was up and at 'em with only a slight difference to her gate.  She never left the property after that, could still catch a rabbit and she lived a good long life.  I don't blame whoever shot her for what they did.  And it sounds sorta cruel to say but it actually helped us out.  The Chow in her...  she was stubborn.
