Just wondering if any of those guys played Sunday.   I never heard their names called.

Speaking of trying to change things up, Lacy was great last season, but why they heck

don't they give Starks or Harris a few reps if Lacy can't find a hole?

Sincerely,

Baffled in Boise

thanks, Cuqui.   Blair, Ginger may not have had any snaps, but he did have time to comb his hair to the perfect shape, give himself a pedicure, and keep his tush warm on the bench.  So he's got that going for him, which is good.

Evidentally Janis isnt making much of an impression on the practice field or he would be playing more one would guess,he has the speed to separate yet he isnt given the chance in games so it must be he isnt impressing the coaches in practice, yet some players never shine in practice, they wait for the games to shine.hopefully we will get to see him alot Thurs night.

This is very frustrating.  They're doing the same thing with Bostick.  They want these guys to know everything before playing, instead of trying to get them in with a small package of plays.  Even if they get 10 snaps a game - both of them are potential game breakers.  Why wouldn't you try to use that?

The rationale of the coaching staff is that the defense will figure it out, but if it's only a couple of plays, and that builds week after week (or some nuance is added to change the look or their role in those plays), it won't be an issue. While it's a valid approach, I don't see it as a smart, or at least innovative, one.

Because opposing teams will quickly figure out which plays such players know, and therefore what's coming when they're on the field.

It's not as if the 2014 Packers can simply execute the power sweep well enough that nobody can stop it even when they know it's coming.

Sticking these players on the field to use them as decoys may be a valid approach, but it's not particularly smart, either.

When did Brandon Bostick become a game breaker?

McCarthy on Jeff Janis: "Jeff is ready to play. Doing all the little things. We'll see if he gets time tomorrow night."

Also mentioned that he expects Vikes to shift attention to Jordy which should create opportunities for Adams and possibly Janis.

Why so he can screw up and be the cause of a potentially game changing play?

Janis obviously has the physical tools but he comes from a DII school. You think he understands NFL defensive coverages, schemes and can read them and adjust on the fly?

My guess is part of Rodgers' comment was because he was inundated with questions about Abradumdum, which provoked a response.  I would think he'd offer similar comments about Janis too if he were from the local college and was constantly asked about him.

Or not.

Janis looked competent, good first step.  He fought for and caught a contested ball which is always a good sign.  Showed he can be effective in the first 10 yds which will only make his deep threat stronger.

Wasn't able to focus on Pennel.

Saw Elliott's number but missed anything he might have done.
