A true  dilemma in Buffalo tonight, on this the one-year anniversary of the ravage storm that almost broke our fair city, we must decide....do we watch the Sabres or the Bills? This is why we never should get Monday Night games.)

(I chose the Sabres, if for nothing else the sight of Tom Brady makes me have horrifically violent thoughts that even the most experienced psychologist would be wise not to touch).

Gene Steratore said the head linseman ruled Watkins "gave himself up" on the final play. So the ruling to keep the clock running was correct.

Um. Watkins caught the ball and rolled out of bounds without being touched. He didn't voluntarily give himself (or yardage) up to get out of bounds.

If the head linesman thinks he made the right call. And Gene Steratore thinks he made the right call. They should both be fired by lunchtime today.

And while we're here. As soon as the play ended, Rex took his headset off and walked off the field. He never questioned the call. I mean, how does a coach not demand someone explain that garbage call and instead just walk off the field? Thought Rex just kind of lost his head there for a second and simply gave up.

Chili that was the most puzzling aspect of the last play.  Watkins didn't complain.  None of the Bills players or coaches complained.  They were just like "oh well we were supposed to lose anyhow who cares" and walked off the field.  I haven't heard any of the talking heads mention this fact when talking about that play.

Also, claiming that the guy gave himself up is ridiculous.  It's one thing when you see guys do it if they have a timeout left, but in this scenario the game was over.

The same ref butchered 3 plays on the last drive.  First the spot on the Robert Woods play.  Then he said Watkins didn't catch the pass on 4th down.  Then he kept the clock running on the final play.

Blandino said the crew lost track of the football on the pass play they inadvertently blew dead.

To recap... The head of NFL Officiating said his crew of officials LOST TRACK of a pass that was mid flight between QB and WR when they blew a play dead.

Blandino then went on to say the decision was to spot the ball at the point of the reception because the whistle was blown following the catch.

Thanks Dean...

EXCEPT THE ****ING WHISTLE WAS BLOWN WHILE THE BALL WAS IN THE AIR YOU IGNORANT MOTHER****ER!!!!! QUIT YOUR JOB. TODAY. GO AWAY. YOU SUCK AT WHAT YOU DO.

I feel better now.

NE began the night down its starting LT Solder, interior lineman Wendell, starting RB Lewis, and best WR Edelman. They then lost #2 WR Amendola and another WR Dobson. They still beat a decent defensive team in Buffalo.

Two things stick out, first Brady says â€œI think we’ll just keep fighting and figure out a way to win.” That is the only way to deal with injuries. Second, NE is not nearly as scary without Lewis (out for season), Edelman (out for several more weeks), and Amendola (??). All these injuries made them look quite vulnerable all of the sudden.
