Been here since Wednesday doing all the touristy stuff, and some not-so-touristy stuff (some natives took us under their wing).  Not as many Cheeseheads as I thought would be here, but we made friends with a couple from Milwaukee down in the Quarter and I'm getting reports from Wisconsin that many more are on the way.  I'll try to post an update on what kinds of Green and Yellow you can expect to see Sunday.  So far the vast majority of tourists I've met are from places like Texas and California and New York.  (Um,  yeah it has been quite the party, holy crap am I hung over right now.)

Saints football is HUGE.  Of course, I mean I knew it would be big, but wow is this team behind their team, and right now they are FREAKING out.  Literally, they called for a VOODOO RALLY, and asked all the witches in town to cast a spell to make the team win!  Freaks.  Everywhere we've gone there is Saints paraphernalia, and people asking us to please lose Sunday.  In a very friendly and polite way of course.  I don't think N'awlins people know how to be mean.  At least not the ones we've met.

Still have dinners and brunches planned, but just yesterday for example: for lunch in the Magazine district, saw a street sign for "Duck Poppers."  We're all, "What the heck is that?" We go in this, we're the only ones there.  Bartender, chefs come out and immediately we're all friends.  Anyway, a duck popper is a bacon-wrapped duck breast stuffed with cream cheese and a pickled jalapeno.  Um, yum, yes, but I ordered the crawfish and crab stuffed beignet and OMFG.  Oysters Rockefellar were still sizzling.   Chef is the young guy, spoke French with him.  It was cool. Dinner at Mothers: oyster and shrimp po'boy and a huge bowl of gumbo. Of course my drunk girlfriend immediately figured out to dip the entire po'boy into the gumbo for best effect.

Very good eats so far Rob. Thanks for asking.

Pistol .... Wait till you get to the game. Fans are loud and obnoxious shocking right? If Saints do well, it will be unbearable. A lot of racist "go get em boy" comments ringing in your ear. Went to the game in 2008 when they destroyed the Pack, and I  still haven't recovered.

Have Orlando Wolf tell you about his hangover. It was epic!

I expect a different outcome this year though. Rep us well and no cheese head please!!

Beads and Green and Gold seems perfectly appropriate, pass the beads out right after the win!

But seriously Packer fans across the world, don't ever wear bulky headgear of any kind (cheese head, frozen Packer guy hat, etc.) to any game anywhere unless you know your tickets are in the last row.  Don't be a dick and block the view of the people behind you,
