Turkey is in the brine. Roasted some sliced onions in a little olive oil, flour, and panko bread crumbs. Topping for green bean casserole from scratch. Roasted 3 heads of garlic for the mashed potatoes. Hit the kitchen 8 am tomorrow. Cocktail is poured.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Can't possibly say thanks to everyone and this site as the daily escape from the grind for a slice of football insider goods, laughs, thoughts, and everything else. This site is priceless.

Be be safe this weekend.

Trying to roll out the turkey carcass soup without frying the turkey.  Like a surprise, maybe the turkey isn't even dead yet.  Not sure.  Maybe poop it before even eating it, don't know.

Happy Thanksgiving.

The last thing I want to be remembered as is an annoying blabbermouth... You know, nothing grinds my gears worse than some chowderhead that doesn't know when to keep his big trap shut... If you catch me running off with my mouth, just give me a poke on the chubbs.

Throw some of that green bean casserole my way Chilli.

I leave all the turkey preparations and cooking to my wife.  It tastes better that way.  And I am still alive after 37 years.  Works for me anyway.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!  And to all a good night.

Happy Turkey Day all.

Be safe. Have fun. Eat up. Unwind. Toast to Bart Starr. Going to get misty.

Every Bear home game will forever remind me of Tavis Smiley and I at Lambeau on January 2 2011 when GB clinched a playoff trip to Philly. Thanks Nick. Thanks.

That was literally a frozen moment. Cold night. Damn near 1 year prior the two of us watched this in the Cajun cage.

here's how you really serve cranberries - thanks Grandma, miss you.

1 bag fresh cranberries, 1 peeled orange - into the food processor and chopped small, not pureed.  throw into bowl, sugar to taste.  add large box (6oz) of raspberry or cherry (I prefer raspberry) jello.  add two cups of boiling water, stir/mix, refrigerate.  done.

Grab can, find can opener, open can, shake out on plate.

Even simpler: In a sauce pan  add a cup of water and a cup of sugar (I use less sugar but whatever), When sugar dissolves, add cranberries. When they pop, they're done. Pour in a bowl. The natural pectin in the berries will firm them up.

I usually add other flavors also, but not necessary and either way it doesn't taste like a ****ing can.

Happy Thanksgiving!

The only question is:

Will this be the year that Hank finally gets to sit at the adult table in the dining room instead of the kid's folding card table in the foyer?
