Brett didn't know what he wanted and then blamed everyone else for letting him see his indecision through.

Brett Favre shouldn't be on the same wall as Bart Starr. Dammit.

agree wholeheartedly.  he's still in denial.  he didn't like it that TT & MM didn't worship his gunslinging-holiness and scrap all their plans at the 11th hour just before training camp.  it's like he thinks his three years of waffling about retirement didn't happen.  tool.

At this point in time, I'm fine with Favre getting his number retired.  I don't dislike him and am somewhat happy the Packers/Favre "reunion" is happening.  That said, I don't think I'll ever have the same respect for him I did in 2007.  Some of his character traits were somewhat hidden, and once they were brought out in the open, it is hard to look at him the same way.

Hopefully the outing of his personal flaws has humbled him, but only those who have to deal with him on a personal level probably know for sure if he learned from his mistakes.  He definitely needed some humbling based on how he was treating certain people.

I for one have the ultimate love/hate for the guy.  I grew up as many of us did in the horrible years of the 70's and 80's and when he came along and helped lead us out of the waste land and gave us all of those great moments I will always be thankful for that.

BUT, I also will not ever ever forgive him for leaving my team hanging with the retirement thing, offering to help the Lions beat the Packers, and telling the Bears players to kick the Packers butts etc.  So I say let's get this over with so we can start talking about our team the 2015 Packers.

I cannot believe there are many TT haters around anymore. The guy has proven time and time again he knows what he is doing. we may want the nice shiny free agents in march and april but come November/December our rookies and 2nd year players are typically playing better than any FA he could have brought in.

If Ted wins another super bowl, he may become the greatest GM in the history of the franchise. I am not sure he is not there anyway.

Yeah, 7 years too late. **** him.

He's making nice now because the team is about to honor him. He showed his true colors back in 2008 when he did everything he could to sabotage the Packers season. Too little, way too late.

Hating/anger with anyone over this stuff is a waste of time and energy, especially when those actually involved have dealt with it and moved on.

Exactly! O Wolf's says it all. Former Vikings' QB Brett Favre.

Yeah, I should probably move on and ignore him too, but it's so much fun ripping on him. I feel the same way about all Vikings, past and present.

Even Big Gil?!? :-D

Why did I read that FavrESPN article?

"I think at some point what crossed my mind was, 'How did it ever get to this point?'" Favre said in a phone interview in advance of his July 18 induction into the Packers Hall of Fame.

How did it get to this point? HOW DID IT GET TO THIS POINT? Are you kidding me? Your on again/off again retirements? Your drama trying to tell the GM what moves to make all the time?  Your private locker room?  Your looking like a 72 year old man in a Hovercraft at the 2007 NFCC game?  Your Greta interviews?  Your mom and brothers dumb interviews?  How did it get to this point?  Jesus Tap Dancing Christ on a Cracker.

"I felt like I wasn't good enough to play there but was good enough to not play against them," Favre said, "and that bothered me."

NO YOU FREAKING REDNECK HILLBILLY, regardless of anything they aren't going to trade anyone worth a damn within the division.  And the issue wasn't that you were "Too good to play against", it had everything to do with improving a division rival, the two of which you wanted to play for were starting these guys in 2007:

Minny - Tavaris Jackson, Holcomb, Bollinger

Chicago - Griese, Grossman, Orton

Good enough to not play against them.  SHUT UP YOU HICK.  No one was releasing you or trading you to division rivals that were starting Hot Garbage and Neckbeard at QB you dumbass.

"Every time I played against Ted or when I was with the Jets and threw six touchdown passes against the Cardinals, which was the only time in my career I ever did that, Ted sent me a message," Favre said. "It was always, 'Nice job. Congratulations. Amazing game.' The day that I left in my meeting with Ted, he has a way of killing you with kindness.

And you tried planting a story that he was gay, that fortunately the writers didn't go along with.  GAHHHHHHH.

sigh.

Did I read the ESPN article? Maybe. Did I have to read it even though I was the guy the article was about? Probably not. Maybe I thought the answers I gave in the interview might be different in the article. Who knows. I do know I don't agree with everything in the article though. Some of the stuff looks made up. Do I blame myself for that? I wish I knew.
