Good combination of solid pitching which has been quite surprising so far and some good production at the plate. Braun and Thames with HR's, Arcia with 3 hits. Back to .500 for the first time since April 15, 2016.

On the post game show they mentioned the Brewers were over .500 for the first time since the last game of the 2014 season and I couldn't believe it. That 334 game streak of below .500 was the longest in team history. Great to see Pina have a hot bat and Thames again with his 3rd HR on the year. This is fun winning 4 in a row on the road. Keep turning up the heat !

Milone had his moments but it's the timely and clutch hitting that stood out to me in this game.

I was not aware of the 334 stat but who knows maybe this team is actually better than I thought?    I'm just going to enjoy it as long as it lasts.

Watching Arcia take an first pitch to right field for a single was incredible.  Kid is learning how to hit big league pitchers.  Thames way more athletic than Carter with good power!  Pitching has been good without our two studs from last year.

And final question, how do we get a decent bull pen with rejects, retreads, and unwanted lately?

"Milwaukee (6-5) has won four straight games and is above .500 for the first time since finishing the 2014 season 82-80"

youre right. wow. so we were never 1-0 or 3-2 or anything like that?

2014? that is a telling stat. im hoping this team can stay close to .500 into July. At least would make things fun to watch.

Hard to believe we could never even get a 1-0 or 2-1 start or so the last two seasons. I would like to know what our "high water mark" was in both the last two seasons or how close did we actually get to the .500 mark at any given time throughout each season.

Pitching struggles today. Davies gives up 3 earned runs in 5 innings and Torres gave up 3 more in 1 inning.  Also Villar picked off 2nd with 1 out in the 1st and a runner on 1st. Another BB and then a double by Perez drives in 2 which should have been 3.   On the bright side Thames, (not the river) had 2 home runs.

It's really encouraging to see Peralta and Nelson pitch well.   They both have shown flashes of talent but if they can finally put it together this team should be competitive.

The Thames story is pretty amazing

Willie, Nelson, Anderson continue this streak of solid pitching and Stearns will be considering trading away our kids.  Or maybe not.

Anybody notice how I started this post with a Willie Nelson reference?

Thames is making me forget about Cris Carter.

Two weeks ago this was a horrible team to watch, this week they are special.  Baseball is all about not overreacting to small samples, but yet...

What I do know is they are young, volatile and it is fun to watch baseball.   I still see this as a 75 win team, but would still love to see them beat up on the Cards and Cubs as much as possible.
