When was the last time the Brewers had a Giannis type? The kind of player you see and by the time he's 20 or 21 looks like a future Hall of Famer?
Robin Yount in 1974
Paul Molitor in 1976
Gary Sheffield in 1988?

When I think about this type of thing, it's scary to think how loaded that 1982 World Series team was and that that core of players only made it to the post-season twice.
Four Hall of Famers: Yount, Molitor, Sutton, and Fingers
Four other players who played in at least 3 all-star games: Simmons (8), Cooper (5), Money (4), Oglivie (3)
Another guy who hit 40+ home runs multiple times (Gorman Thomas)
Two intangible guys who seemed to play forever (Gantner and Charlie Moore)
A pitching staff with two Cy Young Award winners (Vuckovich and Fingers), another very underrated starter who had the best season by a starting pitcher in Brewer history (Caldwell-1978).
The starting pitching staff was Vuckovich, Sutton, Caldwell, Haas, and McClure - not a stiff among them.
The long-reliever was Jim Slaton - a really solid pitcher for a long time.
What would that roster cost in today's dollars? Molitor and Yount would both be 25-30 million a year players. Cooper would get at least 20 million. Vuckovich and Caldwell would likely get 15-20 million a year each. 30-40 HR power from Thomas and Oglivie would likely get 15 million a year. Fingers would get 15 million. Simmons would get 15 million as well. That's 170 million conservatively just for those 9 guys and that's not counting Sutton, Haas, McClure, and Gantner.
Post PED+ Braun has been pretty damn good too.
