They're trying to "tease" the Super Bowl re-match. It's possible they play week 1 but they also play each other in the pre-season in Denver too.

I still say it's either Packers or Niners to open the season vs. Seahawks.

Super Bowl re-match won't draw nearly the ratings that Packers or Niners would

Scuttlebutt on the intertubes has Bears and Packers as the night game on Thanksgiving. I believe that takes GB out of the running for the SEA opener, and I can't see the league making the Pack play on back to back Thanksgivings, so take it for what its worth.

I've been waiting for them to do a Packers-Bears Thanksgiving game at Lambeau for years. It's an obvious choice. Has to happen eventually.

That would have the Pack hosting the prime time game for four years in a row, though. I've got to think the prime time game will be in Chicago this year, whether that's on Thanksgiving or not.

Speaking of trends, GB is due to host the later matchup between the two after Chicago got the late game two years in a row.

I remember last year one of my Loins fan friends was whining that they were probably gonna schedule the Loins at Lambeau in December again and felt it wasn't fair that they had to play the Pack again in the cold I shut him right up telling him that the Loins problems went well beyond the weather stating they hadn't won a game in Wisconsin since 1991 because I'm certain they played multiple games in each month of the schedule since they last won here...friggin whiner

Fail Mary II: Another example of what really matters to the league.

no kidding. nothing like building a story line based on the incompetence of the NFL to negotiate and the incompetence of scab hires.  wow, I'm thrilled.

In addition to flex scheduling for Weeks 5-10, another NFL scheduling change for 2014: select games can be "cross flexed" between CBS/Fox.

Nothing wrong with enjoying a little cross flexing once in a while

I think we're going to open the season in Seattle.
