It's Thursday morning and still no arrests.
1. The man who thought California was on the East Coast had an alternate understanding of geography.
Q: Why did the man who was lost walk into a Chinese restaurant?
A: He was trying to orient himself.
The ****ing NFL sucks now. This lawsuit Is exactly what they need to generate interest & increase ratings.
What a joke. I'd rather watch Teen Mom on MTV.
I always knew you were into MILFs.

The James Harrison meeting with NFL investigators is complete. He will not be made available.

The Harrison meeting lasted about 40 minutes. He is now on the practice field.
"James, what can you tell us about Al Jazeera?"
"F**k you!"
39 minutes of awkward silence.....
What's this?
The NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell are clearly flexing their muscle in disciplinary matters, and it seems likely that this situation will set a precedent for disciplinary accusations moving forward.
Alternative precedence?
Ain't none of the parties want this kind of sordid crap again. It will go into the next CBA sure as shootin', IMO: "No secret, illegally obtained recordings of any kind will be used in any way in any disciplinary action," something like that.
Precedent Alternative?
Prescient precedent.
If they show a united front & all of them walkout, CBA or not, the NFL is screwed.
I doubt it'll happen but the next CBA oughta be fun in 2021.
I'm selling all my stock in 2020
Then I was lied to. I was told I could not sell my stock, also told it would not appreciate or decline in value - in fact it would have no value at all. But I understand the
I don't know if it's age, the NFL, everything, or whatever but I'm enjoying the NFL/Lambeau experience, and don't get me wrong Lambeau is freaking awesome, less and less. The local HS football team beat a longstanding rival 47-0 to start the season and I'm feeling more drawn to that than rog's nfl "product".
Probably the same reason I enjoying seeing live music at clubs, bars, and small festivals over theaters and stadiums. Probably the same reason an amateur baseball game, where I can tell if a pitch is a curve or fastball based on how it sounds, is more enjoyable than Miller Park.
It's nice to have room to move. can the season freaking start?
Just saw Matthew's Jack Link's/Sasquatch commercial.
Jack Link's must think he's clean! Not sure about S'quatch.

Old fart.
Exactly how I feel. It's just getting absurd. But then I'm pretty damn sure all these changes aren't geared towards us but rather to shape whipper snappers concept of pro football to keep those dollars rollin' in.
I just want to see Rodgers put at least one more title under his belt then we'll see what shakes out with this version of the NFL.

The Cowboys visited the Seahawks on Thursday in Washington, one of the two states were marijuana legally can be purchased. Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was photographed in a store that sells marijuana. Thereâs no evidence he bought any or that he smoked any. Regardless, his boss doesnât approve of Zekeâs weed window shopping.
âWell, I think that, in and of itself, the reason we are talking about is in a way part of the learning process,â Jones said after Thursdayâs game, via Clarence E. Hill, Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. âBut itâs not good. Itâs just not good. Itâs just not good.â
<spurt, sputter> conduct detrimental to the league!! interview with badell or suspension!!!
It's Legal. It's not performance enhancing. If anything it's performance DEcreasing.
Can't wait to see how the NFL handles this
Did they ever determine punishment for him(Elliot) beating his girlfriend ?

If the owners (and Goodell by extension) were motivated only by what was best for the game, they'd go the NFLPA and just say "Look, we are not going to even bother to test for marijuana any more. It's legal in some states and doesn't cause any competitive advantage. In fact, it might be good to relieve pain in a way that won't require taking doses of painkillers that should only be given to livestock."
Instead, it will be a bargaining chip for the owners to extract another concession from the players that will allow the owners to make more money.
I don't think the NFL has an issue with smoking dope, but the advertisers do
They aren't writing checks for eleventy billion to promote a bunch of "thugs". They saw what happened with the NBA and want to continue the mirage of squeaky- clean athlete/roll models/endorsers. Of course these guys aren't thugs, but the optics aren't good for Madison Avenue... yet.
Follow the money, and the money says smoking dope is bad. Which is ironical on so many levels given the NFL's willingness to heavily promote alcohol, pharmaceuticals (and formerly cigarettes) in addition to giving wife beaters gainful employment.
Look at how the media treated Ricky Williams years ago and Marshawn Lynch more recently. The dope smokers were scorned and made fun of by the mainstream media.
Dave Wandstadt alone would have been reason for Ricky to light up.

(That probably belongs in the Vikings Suck thread.)

All the more reason to legalize it across the board.
I would laugh my ass off if the last thing Obama did in office was to slap down an executive order legalizing weed, blaze up a fattie, blow a smoke ring and fly off in Marine One.
Then maybe TT will start doing press conferences in drag.
Image problem with the NBA? Not according to the crime statistics.
There are significantly more thugs and scumbags in the NFL. Follow the arrests. It's almost a daily occurrence in the NFL.
Gonna need a %. Many more players in the NFL.

I think that is his point, Tschmack.
.@NFL found no credible evidence James Harrison, Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers were provided with or used HGH

hmm, I found the same thing without even interviewing them.
Um... Yeah....
So, does this mean that with Goodell - it pays to cooperate?
Hard lesson for Brady to learn. Bet he wishes he had that cell phone back.
It means there was nothing to suspend them for.
No mention of Mike Neal?
They said he lied in his affidavit, which could be why he's still on the hook.
I guess the plan to "publicly pressure the players into submission", since the NFL had no other evidence, didn't work out the way Goodell thought.
Neal's lie was in regards to question have you been suspended before or something like that. He misremembered when he said no in the affidavit.
