San Fran RB Kendall Hunter tears ACl - done for the season. He was #2 behind Frank Gore.
Whiner Pravda already saying he was a long shot to make the team since they have the best RB in the 2014 draft as well as Marcus Lattimore.

I like that idea. You see college lineman wearing them frequently to prevent injury...makes sense for NFL linemen too.
Not sure what the the fuss is all about? It's the NFL and guys get serious injuries all the time even in non contact situations.

Not sure the Niners are so optimistic about Lattimore, much less the fans. Two years out and he's still on the sidelines with knee issues. Sometimes, things just aren't meant to be. Lattimore had one of the nastiest injuries I've watched happen.
I haven't followed the 49ers too closely, but the guy I thought they were truly grooming to be the heir apparent at RB to Gore was their 2nd Rd. pick Hyde. It will be interesting to see how good he is in the NFL. There was some talk around draft time that he might be 2014's version of Eddie Lacy. I hope he isn't that good, but we'll just have to see how he pans out.

Injuries to important players always suck but on the first day of TC? Even worse
Hate it the last day even more. All set to go into the season, everyone on the same page, everyone stoked and ready, and then... pfffft. Gone in the blink of a ligament, and then the reshuffling begins.
Both suck, but the last day/last preseason game are the worst IMHO.
