Keon Broxton crushed a bunt in the air far enough for the pitcher to try to catch it only to have it land on the ground for his first major league hit. He was thrown out at home later trying to score from second on a single to left.
Jr. Guerra is our best pitcher
Wasn't he washing cars for cash in some tin roofed building in Central America? Probably helped him to focus.
By golly, our tanking and injured club is only five games under .500!
22-26. Isn't that 4 games under .500?
Oh wait, I forgot, boy posted above.
Managed a slash line of 0.85/.317/.106. One of these things is not like the other.
Taylor Jungman was slugging higher than Walsh (and Maldy, for that matter)
RHP Neil Ramirez has been claimed off waivers from Chicago-NL. Rule-5 INF Colin Walsh has been designated for assignment.

Lucroy is currently the best catcher in baseball
And under contract for 2017 at 5.25 million.
Davies embarrasses the redbird, instantly becomes my favorite pitcher
Voters not voting for the best player? Say it ain't so...
Unless there are a bunch of trumps out there who think Maldy is the best catcher on the Crew, this is crazy. Luc is the best catcher in baseball right now.
And unlike pj, no one seems to care that Braun was juicing
No word on getting Carter into the Home Run derby.

Didn't think it likely at the start of the season, but I am genuinely excited about the performance of this team. Despite the disappointing start of Willy Peralta and the absence of Garza, (not sure if the latter has been a positive or negative), the rotation has been solid of late. Villar looks more and more like a plus infielder, and we have yet to see the mid-season callups from triple-A.
I was expecting The Crew to post a .400 record this season and would have been pleased with anything much over that. But to be challenging .500 with a handful of games kicked away with late leads and the 'ace' of the staff a no-snow for the first third of the season, that exceeds my expectations. More importantly, they have been fun to watch.
Looking forward to seeing Orlando Arcia, Trent Clark and Jorge Lopez in a Brewer uniform later this season.
Not bad for a rebuilding year.
Even Aaron Hill is a player.
I expect a serious losing streak in July
So if they bring up Arcia what are they doing with Villar, play him at 3rd?
or second. I am not a Scooter believer
El-Ka-Bong posted:or second. I am not a Scooter believer
Ditto.
Peralta has been a major disappointment to be sure, and I'm not exactly sure what the reason is because with his stuff he should be a lot better.
On the flip side, the bullpen has been very good and Thornburg in particular has been exceptional. Makes me wonder at some point if they look to move him into the rotation? Right now, the starting pitching has been their weakness which isn't a big surprise.
Tyler Thornburg looks exactly like Tim Blake Nelson from "O Brother Where Art Thou" and he should stay in the pen so he doesn't break.
Peralta is a mess. I don't think we should expect 17 wins every season, but I did think we would get more than we are getting.
So in 10 days or so Garza should be back in the starting rotation. Does Willie go to the pen to work out his troubles? Who gets sent down or DFA?
6 man rotation or Willy gets "injured"
Did I say how much I enjoy watching Chris Carter? That Davies kid is looking OK too.
Carter.
The black Gorman Thomas.
Look at my black!
Oh wait.

Didn't see our ace going back to Triple A.
Davies pitching Greg Maddux esque. Great story if he continues.
Trade rumors heating up. Giants showing interest in Braun and numerous teams showing interest in Lucroy.
Braun is having a nice year but I can't think of a time where his value will be any higher than now and if they could unload the salary it would be well worth it
Lucroy is a different situation. Unless they could secure a kings ransom I would try to keep him in the fold.
Nice start to Garza's audition. Keep it rolling.
How about we just go ahead and send Broxton down to AAA and leave him there for the rest of the year
In general, Counsell doesn't bother me much, but why the hell do you load the bases last night when you already have the double play set up? And why draw third base in so far? You have set up the double play?
Matt Garza Chuck Knoblauchs throws to first
Seen that.
Second solid start from Garza after coming of the disabled list.
Please let this continue so we can dump him.
New Pat Listache is becoming my new favorite player

Apparently Alex Pressley was sent down for Jose Oquendo
Jr. Guerra is amazing. Finally the farm system created an ace.
Guerra. Thank you Bong. And yes he is amazing.
Luc is an all star, pretty sure trump lost a bet (I suspect trump went tits up).
middlebrooks is the player I've been waiting to hate all season
Matt Garza just bounced a pitch back to himself off the backdrop, if you're wondering how he's doing today. #BROORS pic.twitter.com/duKUCQKHlJ
