Bears cut CB Tim Jennings. Dude was a Pro Bowler in 2013. Two years later he doesn't even make it through the first round of cuts. They also placed 1st round pick WR Kevin White on the PUP (stress facture), meaning he'll miss at least 6 games and probably will not play at all this season. And they placed S Ryan Mundy on IR.

Vikings cut Brandon Bostick. Remember him? He's the guy that tried to recover that onside kick in the NFCC game vs. Seattle? You guys remember that?

Lacking Doug Buffone's wonderful contributions though.

Reason #976 why I would be a terrible GM.  I wanted so bad for the Packers to draft Brown that year.  We got some dude named Clay Matthews III instead......

The Bengals cut former Bama ILB Nico Johnson. Had a decent college career and was drafted by KC but never seemed to progress in the NFL. He actually was having a strong PS in CIN.

Not on the board but sure most have heard Rob Griffin has been benched in DC in favor of Kirk Cousins. Classic tale of the entitled self important athlete collapsing amidst his own hubris.

But that's not why I post. Peter King has a story up about Griffin's trajectory and at the end speculates about places he might go. And this whopper emerges. Speechless.

Finally, I recall Mike McCarthy of the Packers wishing he could have taken some time to teach the art of quarterbacking to Vince Young, but the timing a couple of years ago just wasn’t right. I wonder if McCarthy and GM Ted Thompson would take Griffin over Brett Hundley?

For a guy who has spent as much time around MM and Ted as he has, King shows his utter ignorance regarding what Mike and Ted are all about.

King really is a Patriots homer dolt. Completely out of touch with anything Packers related. I don't think he likes the Packers.

McCarthy really is one hell of a QB coach, and his staff is exceptional. The work they did with the 4 QBs we have is remarkable.

If RGIII didn't have an attitude problem, I suspect the Pack would take him more seriously.  The Pack has had guys retreads like Akili Smith, Vince Young, and Tim Couch come through GB for pre-season work.  But I don't think those guys had quite the baggage in terms of attitude that RGIII does.

Young may have come close, but I think he had been humbled a bit by the time he got to GB.

Boykin joins Bostick as prominent players in January's NFCC game who did not even survive the first round of cuts with their new teams. And Carolina is desperate for WRs with Benjamin out for the year. Those two really did stink.

Coupled with Slocum's banishment to the college ranks, the Pack really got rid of some crappy players/coach after the Seattle game.

Be interesting to see if Brad Jones (who is currently running 4th at ILBer in Philly) and AJ Hawk get as much playing time with their new squads as they had in GB in 2014.

Yea Montee Ball has been the big discussion on Denver sports radio this week.  They’re saying he’s now the #4 RB on the roster, behind CJ Anderson, Ronnie Hillman and Juwan Thompson.  And Ball doesn’t play special teams so unless he’s the main backup, it’s hard to rationalize a spot for him as the #3/4 RB.  Pretty crazy that TT traded back and let the Broncos choose between Ball and Lacy.  Thank God Elway chose wrong.

McCloughan will put that grease fire out eventually as long as Danny stays out of his way. Jay Gruden isn't going to be around much longer though. His ceiling is coordinator. He's on borrowed time. Scot will get to him the second he gets the roster in order.
