NT Letroy Guion, Packers

Green Bay has one of the league’s top offenses, a defense that features Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers coming off the edge and excellent cornerback play. The Packers have had problems, however, when their opponents make a concerted effort to run the ball, especially with the lead. For going on two years, the Packers can’t make the stops to get Aaron Rodgers the ball back. With an undersized defensive interior, that’s not going to change anytime soon. The run defense sinks or swims with Guion, the lone big and experienced body up front. If he goes down or struggles, the Packers could be in big trouble.

I'll never be able to look at that guy's name and not immediately think of "Aaron Rodgers = Jay Fiedler."  Some takes are so, so bad that they deserve to be tattooed on your forehead.

I'm not even saying he's rong about this - I'm just saying that as soon as I see 'Bedard' that's what I think.

I had forgotten how bad he was in his JS days. I never knew it was this bad, however.

So stupid.

If conjoined twins could get it together and play WR I don't know how you stop it. One is scanning coverage and directing the route while the other is focused on the catch.

Not sure what happens if one gets a concussion and the other is fine. You can't sit them both. And you double the odds of hands to the face or a face mask.

But if the cajoined twins were on defense with Brad Jones, we'd almost have 11.
Joking aside Im starting to really get pissed how this defense was assembled this last off-season. Some really dumb actions/non-actions with personnel at Dline and LBers, as in team season terminal dum.
God, I can't believe we still have Hawk in the middle, can't believe our mgmt is that stupid in today's NFL.

I think Guion is playing ok... not great by any stretch.  The problem in GB is the MLB's are pathetic.  As long as they roll out the likes of Hawk, Jones, Lattimore and Barrington, the defense will be hit and miss at best.  That's not a coaching problem.  That's a TT problem.

CJ Mosley won defensive rookie of the month in October. Led the Ravens in tackles. 3rd most in the NFL over the month, and tossed in 2 picks for good measure.

The problem is GB let deficiencies at S and ILB get to the point that it became a damned if you do damned if you don't choice. If GB landed Mosley we'd be watching teams ring up passing yards at a record clip instead of rushing yards. I'm glad Ha Ha is a Packer. It filled one huge hole.

**** you AJ Hawk!

Bad draft picks can have a snowball effect. TT hits on either Manning or McMillian and things are markedly different. The team is really paying the price for some pretty mediocre defensive drafting on his part, and that's being kind.

Mosley or Ha Ha? Both would have been good choices, but I believe it's probably harder to find a good safety than a good MLB in general. Ha Ha has a natural instinct for being around the ball, and has shown to be a competent tackler, Saints game notwithstanding. So, I think TT filled the more critical need..
