I have been waiting for someone else to post this question. I think that Eddie is out of shape and perhaps not even motivated to excel this season. Others on this board have said that it is his ankle. I think that it is more than that!

Quote from Eddie and others in the locker room after the last game.

"My ankle is all right," Lacy said.

"It was OK," he said when asked again. "I spatted it for like a mental thing. My choice."

"I'm cool," Lacy said, pressed about his ankle a third time.

In the locker room, teammates chose from one of two possible explanations for Lacy's limited presence within the offense. Some, like Starks, were surprised at the question and believed Lacy to be perfectly fine. Others, like left guard Josh Sitton, said they had no idea if there was something wrong."

Give me a ****ing break

He's not healthy.  Watch how he accelerates and moves in and or of cuts.  His ankle isn't right.  It hasn't been for weeks now.

The guy guts it out there and people give him ****!?? Really?

Save the laziness vibe for Janis!!

Another site wrote: "If the aerial attack is limping into the bye week, Eddie Lacy is stumbling. Thoroughly outplayed by James Starks on Sunday, Lacy continues to look sluggish and ineffective. We know that he's an excellent football player when he's healthy and in shape. Whether it's the tender ankle or too much weight on his frame, Lacy has to get right over the next 12-13 days with road trips versus fellow undefeated squads such as Denver and Carolina on the horizon in Weeks 8 and 9.

Fat ankles? Didn't realize he was from Texas.

Humor Fedya, would ya. Until that dog came by on that fateful day he had never been hit on before by anyone.

I don't think it's the ankle, unless he re injured it and we are not aware.

He hurt his ankle against Seattle.  (3 carries for 9 yards)After that he immediately had two good games and then two stinkers.

KC 10 for 46 w/ long of 13 and avg 4.6

SF 18 for 90 w/ long of 15 and avg 5.0

STL - Stunk

SD - Stunk

I don't know what it is, but he didn't look like Eddie Lacy we saw in preseason or earlier in the season.

What y'all know about personnel?  Y'all experts?  Channel your inner Barnes

Questioning Eddie Lacy or his ability or motivation might be one of the all time idot overtures of x4 history.  Congrats!!

After the 49ers game he started his 6000 calorie a day habit.

Let's face it...Eddie has a horrible running style for longevity in the NFL. This aint the SEC and Eddie had plenty of injury baggage there too.

He takes too many shots...way, way too many to stay healthy. Might as well just get used to it. On the bright side...Starks was one hell of a 6th round pick. Thanks Ted.
