hard game to gauge, Jordy without a doubt a positive, but as was mentioned most everybody had good moments and then WTF moments.

What I found interesting/was pleased, where the 2nd half adjustments.  Running left behind Sitton and Bak >>>>>> Lang and Sherrod for example.

Any word on Hyde's injury?

I saw Haward out on Special teams but Bush as the dime back instead of him, whats the story there?

Positive

Defense allowed 3 points on last 8 drives by the NYJ

gutsy win/always good to win a close one early

no serious injuries

Morgan Brunett tackled very well today

Devonte Adams starting to be a stud

No turnovers after first play

Watching Mike Daniels shift into full beast mode in 2nd half

Cobb and Nelson are fantastic

Negative

Came out flat

Running game not impressive

No plays from our tight ends

NEW RECORD: When Aaron Rodgers threw his 3,000th career pass today, his 53 interceptions in that time is the fewest in NFL history.

The 18-point comeback matches the fourth largest in #Packers history.

Safe to say Jordy Nelson is the go-to receiver. Two games, 30 targets. His 209 yards the most since Don Beebe in 1996 vs 49ers on MNF.

Also, Nelson has gone three straight games with nine catches --- only the second Packer ever to do so (Don Hutson, 1942).

Wilkerson got tossed for throwing a few punches just after Aaron Rodgers completed a two-point conversion pass to Randall Cobb to give the Pack a 24-21 with 5:45 remaining in the third quarter.

But what led to it? Sheldon Richardson, the Jets' other defensive end, had been jawing frequently with the Packers' offensive line up to that point. But Richardson said all of that was "just football, man."

In actuality, the chain of events that led to Wilkerson getting tossed began with an isolated event right after Cobb's conversion. Richardson said it started when Packers right guard T.J. Lang grabbed Jets safety Dawan Landry by the throat soon after the play ended.

"Guy had my guy by the throat—I don't take kind to that, at all," Richardson said. "So I put paws on somebody. Mo followed suit, [we] looked after one another. And we ended up getting all the flags. Happens."

Landry had tackled Cobb and appeared to be jawing with him and pushing him after both players got to their feet. Richardson said it was because Landry didn't think Cobb had crossed the goal line. As this was happening, Lang and Wilkerson were right there next to the scrum. Lang grabbed Landry, which led to Richardson coming from behind to pull Lang off of Landry. Packers receiver Davante Adams then approached, and things quickly spread and got more heated. Adams and Wilkerson were about to bump into one another when Adams tried to shove Wilkerson with his left arm.

The usually mild-mannered (at least to reporters) Wilkerson shoved at Adams with right arm, and soon he had left guard Josh Sitton and left tackle David Bakhtiari in his face, pushing him. Which is when Wilkerson started swinging his arms and punching -nj.com

Paws:

Jordy with several amazing plays.

House played well.

Adams getting his feet well.

Lattimore didn't look horrible.

Negs:

Playing clay 3 or 4 yards off the LOS over the slot WR.  Waste of ability.

Giving up 100 yards rushing in 1rst half.

MM challenge.  3 mins to look at it, better get it right.

I'm anxious to watch the all 22 and see what changes were made or what clicked for the D in the 2nd half.   Maybe it was the Jets going away from what worked and not us?

Strange game.  The time out, the bench penalty...

Positives:

  • Coming back from 18 points down.  We did not panic and kept chipping away.
  • Everyone has said this, but he had such a huge day - Jordy.

Negatives:

  • Defense - yes, the D played much better during the 2nd half, but this remains a weak link.
  • Stupid penalty (Bush) and stupid challenge.

Negs ( - )

Bad fumble to start

The offensive strategy in the first half was absolutely horrible

Defense will be the key...and if they cannot put 4 good quarters together consistently, then it may be time for a change

No TE threat

Bush got caught retaliating on the unsportsmanlike flag.  Not completely his fault.

Rodgers cost himself two sacks at least

Pos ( + )

Nelson, of course

Cobb...money in the bank

Daniels

Williams knew the ref blew the whistle for a T/O and that's why the WR caught that TD

No strong #3 WR yet

Crosby's kicking

Lambeau Field turf looked beautiful

Rex Ryan is a dope

I actually almost gave Rodgers a negative. That turnover to start the game was on him, not Linsley. He pulled away too soon and caused the snap snafu. He held the ball WAY too long.

On those sacks in the 4th Q in one series, he held the ball 11 and 6 seconds. That's utterly ridiculous to get sacked on those. He's better then that and Rodgers needs to play better.

Completely agree about Rodgers....He's the superstar on this team & needs to play like it EVERY week!

  • Lattimore.....did his job
  • Nelson...Good Lord!!
  • Cobb....difficult to cover
  • DuJuan Harris....Finally had a nice return
  • Crosby....Stay on target!!

NEG....

  • Rodgers.....Seriously bro?!?!? You need to be "the guy" EVERY GAME!! Hear me?!?!?
  • MM....You need to run Lacy MUCH more
  • Dom Capers....Please retire & go away! You cannot coach at this level anymore
  • AJ Hawk....See Dom Capers as you grab your parting gift.

I think just IC.  TT is a damn ringer when it comes to finding WRs.  Let's check the boiler plate of scrubs going on 3 and 4 year boil of "development" doing nothing at other positions.

Will see how Jones does this year before I say it's TT drafting and not Rodgers making these receivers.

Think back to Favre.  Was Freeman great or did #4 in his prime make him great?  Robert Brooks?   Those two are your James Jones and Greg Jennings of this era.

Jordy is legit though.  Spectacular catches every game.  He is right behind Megatron in my book.

Jordy

Daniels

AR

Adams

Second-half defense

-

MM  Challenge and onside kick were both boneheaded decisions.

Second-half offense Had a chance to close and couldn't do it. AR killed a drive by inexcusably taking sacks, Jordy dropped a third-down pass he usually catches and Bak missed a block that resulted in Lacy getting stoned on a third and two. Needed to make it a two score game and couldn't get it done.

Serious questions remain about the defense. History may well show that MM was loyal to a fault and rather than getting intimately involved in the defense he probably should have made a change.

Lacy may have cleared the "protocol", but I wonder if he wasn't really 100%? Even with the early deficit and more passing, and they had said they wanted Lacy to be the 3-down RB, and he wasn't in there.

I'm sold on Adams.

The DL played a different game in the 2nd half. Maybe it was Trgo who got on them, or maybe Peppers said something. Or, as has been suggested, Daniels punched a bunch of guys in the face. What was noticeable about the 2nd half and the fired up DL, the LBs looked better too.

Sadly, the 2nd half defensive resurgence might give Stupid Face a reason to leave Dum to his plethora of binders and D alignments for another week.

+How freaking athletic is Julius Peppers? I commented to my dad during the game that it's been a long time since we have seen a LB in GB not named Matthews make a play in coverage. I don't understand how he can move a 6'6" 280 lb body like...and then to come close to making the INT, not just break up a pass. Crazy! He's for real.

- Rodgers has to f*cking throw the ball. There were several times he got good protection and just held the ball so long. Throw it away! I know he's trying to make a play, but a sack is worse than a throw away. Even Trent Green's concussion riddled brain couldn't understand wtf he was doing. Half of the sacks were squarely on Rodgers. On the same note, those not named Jordy need to f*cking get open.

The opening Geno Smith TD was the final straw for me as far as Capers is concerned.

He had CM3 lined up not with a hand on the ground, but both hands on the ground. Inside the TE. He was actually rocking back and forth trying to figure out how he should actually set up with both hands on the ground when the ball was snapped.

TE chipped him and released. Burnett went with the TE. Clay got lost down low in the wash. Geno walked in.

There were comments about Clay dissapearing yesterday. I look at plays like that and think Clay has to be some kind of pissed he's being asked to do stupid **** like that.

It's almost like MM went up to Dom at half, grabbed his binder, lit it on fire, and told him to keep **** simple.

Positives

- run defense in 2nd half, especially when taking into account the net improvement (defense has been so porous).

- Jordy, of course.

- Crosby - his past poor performance is more and more seeming like it may not crop up again.

- Adams - I know it's only one game, but I think he may be savvy and "ready" at a level that is extremely rarely seen in a rookie wideout.  I think this kid may be seriously special.

Negatives

- I'll stick to some of the coaching decisions.  It was only a FG, but the Pack got a bit of momentum.  That was a horrid time for an on sides kick.  So much likelihood the momentum would be handed right back to the Jets and carried into halftime.

- red zone offense.  1st and 2nd down, it's even a shotgun.  Almost completely taking away the threat of a running game.  I don't get it.
