Quake

More images coming out of Napa wineries that suffered massive losses this morning. This is devastating. Somewhere in an Ocala Best Western Kiel woke up at 3:20am soaked in sweat. 

You know how it's said dogs have an ability to sense an earthquake minutes before they occur? Well check this out. 

 

My dog slept through the whole ****ing thing. So it's either a load of bull**** or my dog isn't really the best friend I thought he was. When he wakes up we're having a long talk.

Somewhere in Napa there's a guy making boxed wine who's walking around town with a "who's the jackass now" smirk on his face. 

 

This mornings quake was 13 seconds of violence. Only 1 decent jolt. Nothing like the 89 series quake. I was downtown SF for that one. Watched two 5 story buildings on the 300 block of Grant Ave. separate about 6 inches and then snap back together. Thought that cant be good.

Meanwhile, there's been a series of earthquakes in Iceland which may be the prelude to a subglacial volcanic eruption.  Be prepared for the possibility of flight interruptions.

One of the earlier articles points out that the earthquakes have shifted the fault 20 cm, which is 10 times the annual average.
