Knile Davis? Umm, okay. He's kind of pedestrian, but he's probably #225 so he fits the mold even though he's not that tall. He's #4 on the Chiefs depth chart behind Charles, Ware and West.

Plus he has an inability to stay healthy from what I'm hearing...so you're definitely correct about fitting right in

I view Davis as a 3rd down type back.  He can be a good receiver out of the backfield but his best skill is probably as a return guy.

Not sure what other options were out there at the RB position but it's a move that had to be done.

I agree they needed to make a move, and Davis was likely the best of the dirt cheap options available at a position known for grinding players up.

Still, doesn't catch well, doesn't block worth a damn and fumbles a lot. Also has a YPC lower than Logan Mankins.

Reports also that Don Jackson will be activated from the practice squad. Means two cuts have to be made:  likely Kyle Murphy is one. Although we have a lot of CB's, with three out we can't cut any of them right now, so it will be interesting to see who the other cut is.  Would not be surprised to see James Starks placed on IR.

Silverstein  believes they'll still bring up Jackson.

Jackson, who has been practicing a good deal with the offense since Lacy injured his ankle against the New York Giants, will be the lead back in practice this week. McCarthy wouldn't confirm that Jackson would be signed to the 53-man roster, but it remains an inevitability given Lacy's status. The Packers can wait until Wednesday or Thursday to sign him to the 53, thus allowing them to consider the roster move they'll make to find a spot for Jackson.

The Davis trade likely means Jackson is staying on the PS. Also, strong possibility that Starks is back for the ATL game.

Or that Lacy can't play on Thursday.

Thats what i am thinking

So if Knile Davis ends being good enough to make the Packers Hall of Fame, instead of naming a street after him, do they change the name of the Fox River to the Knile River?

It took a while to get there---but it was worth it.

RB Knile Davis: "I found out I was going to get traded yesterday evening, packed a bag and I was on the plane this morning."

RB Knile Davis: "It feels like getting drafted again. I feel like it’s a new beginning and I’m excited."

Bennett on RB Don Jackson: Took advantage of off-season. Continues to improve in practice. He’s moving in the right direction.

Ron Zook says Knile Davis was a kick returner the were always concerned about when they played the Chiefs.

In exchange for RB Knile Davis, gave the Chiefs a conditional 7th-round pick in 2018.

Losing Shields hurts.  Confidence is low.  If offense was playing like the past I would feel better.  The defense won't be able to carry this offensively starved team with this young secondary.  Good experience for future,  but not for this year.  Sucks.

I think I'd take this, except for Harrison, he's with the Giants not the Jets.

That is a lot for a tight end.  TT must be taking lessons from Pirates.
