So Bears need a live body & pass on Abby while the Pats prefer Griff Whalen who has been terrible while bouncing around the league the past few years.
What did GB see that led TT, ARod, etc. to give him so much praise?
His skills aren't the issue. It's that he was constantly hurt and has struggled with concussions. He's not skilled enough to make the concussions worth the gamble. If he could stay healthy he probably would still be in GB making an impact.
GD is right. He had a leg injury when GB cut him. GB - it was explained - was tired of waiting for JA to get healthy. Someone said the best "ability" that anyone can have is "availability". I would say that is the first requirement for almost any job. If you can't be there to do the job, it doesn't make any difference what skills you have. But I was right there with everyone who like the JA pick when it was made.

Griff won when Abby suffered a concussion after meating Tom Brady. He was concussed by shock wave left in the wake of Tom Brady's greatness.
As I understand it Abby hurt his back dropping off a box of Packer practice tapes in Billy's office.
