I couldn't find the thread on this topic on Google or with the site's search engine, so I'll start a new one. Where are you currently at, and what kind of progress have you made on the list?

2010: 853

2011: 818

2012: 781

2013: 620

2014: 516

If I would have applied back when I was 10 or so, I would already have them. If I had known how long it takes to get a single season ticket, I would have applied years before I did.

I probably won't give my 2 up but will start selling them off until my boy can decide if he wants to keep them in the family.  When I first started going in the 80s it was about tailgating and football and that was about it.  Now it's like going to visit the queen, and she and her minions will tax you for every cent they can before you leave.

I've decided to let the stadium have its way this year - you want to charge an arm and a leg for a beer?  Fine, I'm keeping my appendages and I ain't buying your over-priced **** anymore.  Used to spend $60-$100 on game days in the stadium - not anymore.

I was asked a few years ago to specify Green or Gold package, before the current renovation was completed.

At that time my number was just south of 9,000.

I took the Gold package, and last week I got the annual post card.

I'm now at #125.

I joined the list in. 1995 and my number was 15,752.

Progress!!

I'm still way too high. How can I get lower by choosing one of the packages?

Got my General Seating post card today.  21093, only moved 335 spots.  The good news though is that my number came up for single seats this year.  It took 12 years on that list to get 2 seats.  Throwing out 6 grand to Brown County and the Packers hurt the savings account this summer, but it's worth it!

Where are you guys at?  I'm curious how the algorithm works for the lists.  Are you guys moving at about the same pace?

Yeah, I'm getting dangerously close to giving mine up too.

Saving grace is I split 6 games (green) with 3 of my brothers.  I'm only on the hook for two.  I usually sell a game to friends and use the other for a brothers weekend.  We used to stay at Days Inn or Best Western right by the stadium.  For the two nights we paid $125 per night, not bad.  We quit going there when it hit $200, now its something like $400 per night.  You can stay the next night for $59.  It sucks, but it is what it is.

This year the games are tougher to resell.  Deer hunting opener, Dec 23, a Thurs night are not the most desirable dates...

Good thing the oldest brother is responsible and doesn't drink so he can drive our sorry asses home after the game.  3 hours is forever when you're drunk....

I gave up my single seats for the Gold Package this year.  Didn't take long to get my $1200 dollars back. Just not any fun any more. Can't get a hotel room less than 1 hour away unless you pay 2 to 3 hundred a night for 2 night minimum.

That's pretty much my train of thought as well.  I live in the LaCrosse area so I have a 3+ hour drive home, which is miserable AF.  Hotels are a complete joke in the area as well as you mentioned.  There is no way in hell I'd make that trek 8 times a year.  The drive up is ok and the game is a blast.... but the ride home, traffic, hotels, etc. kill it for me.  So... I just buy tickets as needed/desired.  It seems to work.
