GB is in dire need of a #1 CB next year and beyond.  Randall is our best shot if he can get past this years struggles and the injury bug.

Gunter is a part of this team.  He was probably the 4th CB and now is the number 1. Sure,  he has given up some plays,  but he has also made some.  I'm thankful he is on the team.

NFLFU needs to re-examine weed for these guys. Their bodies are a train wreck and I'd rather see them do some week than the opiods for the pain. Not exactly sayin' I want it legalized, but there has to be some solution.

The best thing I can say about Gunter yesterday was that he gave everything he had on Bryant. Yes, there were times it was frustrating when he was matched one-on-one, but he competed. Most of all, he probably learned a lot. That will probably come in handy this week against Jones...

I think it's pretty likely that Randall is the 2016 version of Adams. He's probably hurt more than they are letting on and he has difficulty cutting and changing direction. That's about as bad as it gets when you are trying to play CB. They've been decimated at CB so he's had to play hurt. Last year was worse because Adams shouldn't have been playing WR with that ankle and they had guys behind him who were capable. Unless they sign someone off the street today, there is no one left behind Randall.

The solution is to legalize it.  Oregon, Washington, Colorado have all executed it and the states haven't turned into a dystopian nightmare.  In fact, all the states are getting more taxes due to it.

Legalize it, tax it, and stop this silliness.

He was our 5th string CB

Shields had a big ol' shipment sent to his GB apartment. I don't know the ins and outs of this for NFL players, but it sure seems like they would have a guy that handles that kind of stuff for them just to remove the paper trail.

Especially given the timing, I wonder if this was him not giving a damn knowing his playing days are over.

Everybody loves Gunter's heart but he's not a #1CB.  I'm happy as pie we have him right now too but he doesn't fix our top CB problem.

Probably not a number one,  but he has done more than any other CB all year.  You just never know.  He has improved since he has been in the league, but you are probably right.  Still trust him turning into something before Randall.

He "looks lost" because he can't cut and drive (injuries) to stay with his guy or get to the position he needs to be in.  At this point all there is to replace him with are 2 guys I can't even name right now: another UDFA practice squad guy or another UDFA practice squad guy who has only been a CB for 3 or 4 months.

Damn Compers!!!

As has been said, look at Adams 2014 to 2015 to 2016. If we don't see any appreciable improvement in 2017 from (healthy) Randall and Rollins, then there may be some valid concerns.

Exactly. I am all for taxing it and legalizing it.  And I completely agree they need to explore what to do for these players.  If they want to do it I say fine it is much better than them getting addicted to hard pain killers.

He was a solid CB in 2011.  He has been a very good #1CB for several years now.  It is no coincidence our pass D takes a dip every time he misses games.  He'll be 30 late this year so he's not exactly a spring chicken anymore.  Hopefully he walks away without regrets.
