I have been a continuous subscriber to SI since 1974. I used to re-up in 3 year increments---now I do it year to year because one of these days, they're toast.

Sign of the times .

There isn't a better sports journalist in America than Jim Murray. As far as SI goes Gary Smith was the best they've ever had. William Knack wrote some great pieces. So did Zimmer and Rick Reiley.

Peter King was good early on until he found out money was better with a belly full full of GM semen.

Bet he ends up writing for the Vikes.

Panels falling off the new building?  Greg B - opponent fans should tread lightly in the new stadium - if the Pizza doesn't get you the Panels will.

Birds flying into the new building?  Greg B - an omen showing that the Vikes will kill (on the field) the Falcons, Cardinals, and Ravens.

WRs go to die in MN?  Greg B - the Vikes don't need them anyway - AP will be re-signed and with the great ground game the Vikes will be good.

Etc.
