Rodgers is where you start and after him you look for the best young franchise QBs. If you take a young QB before those two then you're reaching badly. Mack is a true game changer you can build around and Watt is a generational talent.

I would pretty much agree with your list.  For some reason I must be the only one on this country who is still taking a wait and see approach with Dak Prescott.  He only hit 300 yards twice against the Steelers and Ravans and his avg per attempt was ok at 8 yards.  Good QB sure but #5?  probably has a lot to do with the Cowboys factor.

1) Aaron Rodgers - IMO still the best QB in the game and not too old to avoid as a franchise cornerstone.   Should be playing at this level for at least 4 year years (barring serious injury).

2) Andrew Luck - had a rough few years but that's on the incompetence of Ryan Grigson and to a degree, Chuck Pagano.  Talent is still unquestionable and youth is still on his side.

3) Derek Carr - I'm still questioning him, as he's only played at a top 5 level for 1 year.  But he checks every other box so I'd roll the dice he can produce like he did last year going forward.  Knocks on Carr are driven more by his brother than anything (and I think his bro could have been great if he hadn't gotten so beat up).

4) Von Miller - First non-QB.  I think Kahlil Mack is a better all around player with his play against the run but Von is the best pass rusher in football, has shown no signs of slowing down, has eliminated his off field issues (as far as I can tell) and is becoming a real leader on the Broncos (learned from Demarcus Ware).

5) Aaron Donald/Kahlil Mack - Can't decide who's better so have them tied.  Both are young cornerstones that could lead a defense and still be in their prime for 8 more years.

Just can't rationalize any other QB up here.  Brady, Rivers, and Roethlisberger are too old.  I think Wilson's teammates secretly hate him because he's such a phony, being whoever the people around him want him to be and not being genuine.  Ryan and Prescott are a product of top notch talent around them.  Winston and Mariota haven't actually played a full season at a top 5 level yet.  Newton is done as a top 5 QB, now that he's getting beaten up too much for running.  And only other position worth starting a franchise around is a top level, young pass rusher.  Oh, and Watt has a freaking back injury, which screams "stay away:.
