The concern I would have isn't the Cavs coming alive shooting 3s as every dog has its day.  They won't perform at that clip again.

The issue is the officiating and it was awful in game 4.  Clearly they were favoring the Cavs and if it's anything close to that in game 5 there will be a game 6 in Cleveland.  That sets the stage for a game 7 matchup where it's anyone's ballgame.

Golden State needs to stick the dagger in early and often in game 5.  If they let Cleveland or the refs keep them in the game you open the door to the possibility of the Cavs making this a series.

It took an hour to play the 3rd q.

An hour.

The officials lost control of the game, and there's no explanation that would be acceptable to me to justify it.

If that's what it takes to keep Cleveland in this series, I'll stop watching. Permanently.

The entire Cleveland  team shot 55% combined.

I can't see Curry & Klay both scoring 14 & 13 in game 5.

The NBA doesn't care that you know it's rigged. They only care about making money.

The only thing they'll understand is all of us stop watching & stop buying merch & $top going to the games.

Until then....they are getting millions more dollars thanks to game 5.

Cleveland shot lights out last night the Warriors were cold & the Cavs still needed the refs to help them get a blowout & score 137. No team in NBA history is scoring 137 vs. The W's defense without help from the Association.

I know this much...if this Warriors team loses 4 straight, I will never watch the NBA ever again.

Let's see what happens in Game 5.

I can't say for certain but I heard on sports talk radio this morning that the league makes about $12MM per playoff game.  So they have a real interest in extending this series.  ESPN is also impacted as they have the deal with the NBA and the 4 letter network is bleeding money like crazy.

How quickly we forget the Kings/Lakers game 6 in 2002 or the Bucks/Sixers series in 2001.  Or before that the infamous Heat/NYK series where a certain ref was coined "Knick Bavetta"

Nothing will ever rival Kings-Lakers Game 6.  Repugnant is not a strong enough word.

The Lakers shot 27 FTs in the 4th quarter of that game. 27!

The Cavs shot 22 FTs in the 1st quarter of Friday night's game.

Game 6 of the Kings/Lakers is the gold standard but there have been a lot of others ref influenced outcomes - maybe some more subtle than others.

Scott Williams getting suspended in the Bucks/Sixers series years ago and Green (last year) getting suspended v the Cavs had a huge impact.

Then you have the obvious FT disparity games with Game 4 this week being one of the worst I can recall - although Blazers/Lakers game 7 in 2000 and the aforementioned Kings/Lakers game 6 in 2002.

Officiating is always the gray. A game can be called to influence simply by "CC'ing it close", thus tilting to one team or another. 50-50 calls starting going that way, and an emotional game with high stakes goes off the rails. Look at the Badgers loss to Duke 3 years ago. Look at Friday night. Influence is all that's needed.

Here's what I don't get about game 4. Cleveland let it be known they had to muck things up and turn this series into a street fight. They said so before game 4 and after the game. Ty Lue said the mistake they made was being "too nice for the first three games". So Cleveland decides to dirty up the series from the very start of game 4 and they shoot 22 FT's the opening quarter?!?!?! I think Cleveland was in the bonus before Q1 was 4 minutes old.

8 minutes into Game 5 in Oakland and both Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant have 2 fouls each - both on questionable calls. Can you say rigged?

Of course, Irving has 0 and James has 1 foul.

Kevin Durant is the best scorer in the league. Lebron can't keep up.

LeBron is a top 5 NBA defender. There is no one that can guard Durant one on one other than maybe Draymond Green. Maybe Kawhi Leonard comes the closest, but even he is giving up 4 inches.
