I was listening to the discussion this morning about the future of Kevin Love, and the apparent likelihood of him being traded after the Finals win or lose.
It occurred to me that there may be a very good suitor to trade with- the Milwaukee Bucks.
Kevin Love is an All Star caliber player. He fits two desperate needs for this team- shooting and rebounding. There is also another important piece- the Bucks (I am convinced anyway) are going after Dwight Howard. But Monroe is a C, not a PF- and he doesn't seem a great fit anymore as this team's roster evolves. Love is a true PF, and he can shoot the 3. He also just signed a max deal- and I'm sure that Cleveland would be happy to rid themselves of that contract knowing that Monroe's deal is much shorter. But the annual $$$ fits, thus making the trade possible. Then it clears roster room to bring in Howard, who would theoretically help the Bucks defensively. Then when teams want to play "small ball" against the Bucks? Our PG is 6'11, so go ahead and do that. Slide Love to C, Jabari to 4, Middleton to 3, Vaughn to 2, and Giannis posts up your PG for 40. And oh yeah, all 5 guys and shoot the 3, drive... You get the idea.
It could work...
