Use the dishpointer site to find out or put the dish under the tree to the right and bury the cable next to the fence. Also depends on how high the dish is being mounted.

I switch between dish and direct every two years.  I personally like dish better.  A little better hardware with dish I feel the hopper is far superior to,the genie.  Direct tv remotes are the cheapest pieces of garbage.  You can buy them online 2 for 12 bucks.

I have Comcast cable for everything. I like the internet speed a lot. I have the phone service, as well, and am wondering why I need it. I might drop both the cable TV and phone from my bundle, get a satellite for the TV and just use my cell phone. I'm tired of not getting Wisconsin sports on a regular basis and am hoping a good alternative to cable would solve that for me. Does Dish TV have a sports package or football package like DirecTV does?

If you use my DISH guy, he can set up your DISH receiver at you "Cabin" and send your bill to your home address.  I get all the Packer games now and for 5 bucks a month, get the BigTen Network and FSN.

I used to do that with Dish as well Bong.  I just told Dish I was spending a few months at my cabin in WI and I wanted the local channels while I was there.  They asked for a billing address, I gave them my parents address in WI.  The next day I was receiving all the WI channels in Lakeville MN.  It was awesome.  I didn't know that it still worked as I had read that all those local channels were going to use zones so that you would have to physically be in that area to receive the signal.  I guess not all of the channels did that.  I always thought that Dish knew people did this and didn't care because they were keeping customers from switching to Directv and getting the ticket.

I have long ago abandoned satellite and cable in favor of OTA, goatd.net and Slingtv.  You may want to check out Slingtv for their $25 per month plan, it's hard to beat.

Still here in Jamaica. Just finished watching the badgers beat Minnesota. I can tell you flow cable has a far superior remote control compared to the piece of  $$$$ direct tv gives its customers   Also you can’t stream off of your direct tv or dvr from home on your direct tv app. Dish network had no issues handling this technology.  Direct is junk

Another thing about my Comcast woes: I have their bundle for Phone, Internet and Cable. When the Packers were on CBS at the same time the vikings were on Fox just a couple weeks ago, the Packers' game was blacked out on CBS for my area. I tried using a streaming site that I had used before to watch the Packers on and it was blocked, as well. A buddy of mine used the same streaming site at his house because his cable couldn't get the CBS affiliate out of LaCrosse, WI. He was able to watch the Packers online while I was unable to. This means it was Comcast who was blocking my internet connection to the streaming site and not the TV networks. I guess this is what the FCC's abolishing of Net Neutrality will be like everyday for people, if it passes.

I mailed my receiver boxes and remote back to DirecTV's receiving center in El Paso back in September. The box got lost in the mail, and now they're trying to collect $200 from me for it, even though I have proof it was shipped. I've had to spend an hour on the phone two times speaking to the imbeciles they hire about it. Both times, they told me the problem was resolved. I fully expect to get another $200 bill in the mail this month, even though they told me it was "fixed". Worst company I've ever dealt with.

Boris's story above really makes this experience even sweeter. Even if the jerks had gotten the receivers and remotes, they probably would have just ended up in another illegal landfill. Charging me $200 because FedEx lost something they're just going to throw out anyway. Bloodsuckers.
