Why is it insecurity vs. insult and how are you the one to make the delineation? Please tell me how a QB three years removed has anything to do with this championship? When you're done with that what point doesn't make you a ridiculous dick holding onto a phantom of a past?

I'm not going to make the case. But I'm amused that Dilfer did. It kept the light on how #4 is in the rearview mirror while #12 just got something #4 never did - a Super Bowl MVP.

When you don't hear Favre commentary as coming at the expense of Thompson, McCarthy and Rodgers, you'll be where I am. Every time they discuss Favre, it rings as "GAME, SET, MATCH" on how the Packers did the right thing. You can have the outrage over Dilfer. I have no time for it. Especially because Dilfer is very good at his job, and really likes my team's QB, Aaron Rodgers.

But you go out of the way to discuss it on a football board?

Are you a dirty whore trying to solicit some reaction or are you a football Bodhisattva?

Guess what? Either choice makes you a dick.
Rodgers has now accomplished many things that Favre was not able to do in his 15 years-

1) beat Philly in Philly in the playoffs
2) win a playoff game in Dallas Wink
3) hold the all time postseason career QB rating- at 112. That's even better than our guy Bart Starr.
4) Threw for 300+ yards without an INT in the Superbowl. Only Montana and Young have done that.
5) Win the Superbowl MVP award. Brent who?

How or why people still continue to obsess about the old guy I have no idea. Not only did Rodgers exorcise all of the demons he buried the SOBs and then some. You think of where this franchise was 3 years ago and how far they came this year and it's pretty amazing.

Brent left his mark on the franchise, but what's done is done. I could care less about the guy right about now.

I'm a dick because I don't think Dilfer is a jaghole? You started the thread. If you don't want to be criticized, don't start it.

Packers just won the Super Bowl, and you want to whine about one commentator....that's laughable.

I'm with you. But it starts with Packer fans. How any of us care about what Favre thinks or what commentators think of Favre, is beyond me.
I'm happy for the victory.
I damn happy for Aaron Rodgers who proved again why TT and MM moved on.
I am happy for all the players who stepped up when other players went down.
I'm happy for Donald Driver and Charles Woodson, who got their rings. But I'm sad they had to finish the game on the sidelines.
I'm happy for the grace and class Rodgers showed in every PC throughout the year. He clearly demonstrated that grace and class in his selfless acceptance of the SB MVP award.
I am happy for all the players, coaches and the entire Packer nation.
It was a great season and a tremendous SB!!
I am enjoying this win to the max!!

Good observation Jody... that's the clown we should really be upset with. I don't give a rip what TOG did for us. When he goes out of his way to side with enemy combatants against the Pack- especially siding with the Bears, he can go pound himself from here to eternity for all I care. And this crap about it not being personal against Packer fans is double talking B.S.

Trent's love of Bert goes back to their playing days I'm sure. And since they both have one SB ring, it elevates his own status somewhat by complimenting Brent. But Dilfer really had the Packer's back a lot this season... loves AR, McCarthy, also said during week 12 that they were the best team in the league and the Bears were over-rated posers. If he wants to give Bart 5 minutes of his time-- whatever.
I think Dilfer is a great analyst. I really like him a lot I think he's solid as hell, he does a good job breaking down a lot of the "technical" stuff, and hell he's defended Rodgers all year.

My issue is with the timing of TOG has better stats talk, and with trolling viking fans defending that. It was out of line less than an hour post victory. Period. If they wanted to have that conversation today, whatever, but less than an hour after the biggest win of AR's career it was completely BS to sit up there and have all 5 of those morons remind us that TOG has better stats. (REALLY? The guy that has played for 20 years has more stats than a guy in his 3rd year? Who woulda thunk it)

That's my beef, the timing and the trolls. I like Dilfer a lot.

/Oh gee, imagine that another Favre fan defending ESPN crapping all over Rodgers for not having the stats of a guy that has played 17 years longer than him by conflating the Packers Pro Shop selling a DVD as THE EXACT SAME THING. [insert shocked face]
