I think that Pandora's box has been opened. I honestly do not care either way if the name is changed but I do believe this is only the start. Real simple, quit using a group of people as mascots if they don't want to be used as mascots. I can dump a ton of history, social thought and politics to back up the argument but it just isn't that complicated. You don't want your culture to be a cartoon embellishment of a sport, particularly one that is offensive, end of issue.
There is no slippery slope, it's just whining and money. We need to grow up, own the mistakes of our past and move forward. Having some relic of our cultural idiocy hanging around should be embarrassing for the whole nation. It's like having the Munich Kikes complain about their tradition.
Hell, your team is named the Warriors? Change the image to mascot to some guy that looked like me in my early 20's and viola!; slobbering Germanic warrior. Hell, get creative. What about the Tardigrades? Toughest sombitches alive and I don't think they give two ****s about royalties.
I think one exemption needs to made for the Cleveland Indians but they do need to change their mascot.

This is an epic waste of time and money. Animals will feel disrespected, the color pink called in it wants to be known as magenta, the fighting irish have to change their name to non-violent irish americans. Seriously, white guilt and assinine over-reaching is out of hand. We have a country that is closing in on 20T in debt, we have millions of "undocumented" persons flooding our borders, Russia is re-starting the cold war, and government wastes their time and tax dollars on stuff like this. Let me spell it out for you, if it was an issue.... let the people that buy the jerseys, tickets, and watch the games on sundays handle it. This isn't a Jim Crow situation where it needs vital government intervention. This is just lunacy in its purest form.
That caucasians logo needs to be used! That's epic. Maybe if the acme packing co. retired employees from 80-100+ years ago get offended they can switch to being the Green Bay Caucasians!

It wasn't funny at all. My point was making money off of the new logo by being able to sell merchandise with it. If you have been following this thread I had mentioned earlier, too, that if the owner of the team changed logo's he would make more money selling the new logo merchandise as well as keep selling the old merchandise (sic).
