Miles is bored. So is Saban. Could they make more in college? definitely. Do they want to go down as the kind of coach who didn't have the balls/ability to coach in the NFL? I don't think so. They'll come knocking.

Not for coordinators jobs, HC?  perhaps

When the Packers receivers went down during Wolfs Reign he reached into his bag of goodies and pulled Andre Rison off the garbage heap. And that was in the middle of the season. TT had the whole damn preseason to get a replacement for Jordy when he went down and ended up with a WR that he had previously cut and was cut by two other teams. No need to overeact Ted, how about just react. But God Know it may have cost him a damn 6th round draft pick he plans on keeping on the roster for a year or two before he cuts him for the next 6th round draft pick.

I'd be malcontent too if I had a one eyed girlfriend...AND she burned my house down.

Christ, Yoko is a lily white pantied girl scout in comparison.

Adams???

Think Robert Ferguson, but slower, terrible route runner, w/bad hands

WHAT? Everything is fine in GB? Can't talk about it? It's a forum. Realizing there are problems within this organization and discussing them is apparently taboo... ???

Whatever.

You just made a certain crowd cry. Pom-poms are all they want, though when one of them starts moaning they seem to ignore that.   They just want to control things, they haven't got over no longer being hall monitors in grade school.

You realize that the same person who made the "whatever" post then whined when somebody called him out for his inane post.  The irony.

Self important putz #1.

When you pop your little weasely head up speaks volumes.  You're like a ****ing infection going from dead board to dead board.

Where will change come from?  Reboot, that's where.  Let's see how they get through the adversity of a making some big changes on the coaching staff and going through a spate of injuries even if this season circles the drain.  Sure Clements is a putz.  Let's see if this staff gets more nimble.

WHATEVER. My opinion was my own. You obviously don't like it.

Talk about inane. You said, "As far as draft/develop, that's been going pretty well too."

Are you ****ing serious? How is that going well? Who is developing?

This isn't just personnel. This problem is across the board. How our staff decided it was better to have Goodson fill in when Randall went down is ridiculous. Goodson is a ST player and no more. Rollins came in only after Goodson blew coverage. Again. And that decision cost us dearly. Our coaching staff is making some very bad calls, and their players are showing up unprepared far too often. Putting Goodson in has to be on Capers. Who else would have made that call?

I'll just hold out hope that they can get their **** together and make a run for it all. Pretty improbable judging from this **** show we've seen on and off for a month and a half...

A win in DET will prove to be bigger than anything right now. They are just going to have to piece it together, one week at a time, and maybe surprise some along the way.

Two things.

First of all, you can work with your nasty quoting habit.  Go ahead and use the reply with quote button, but trim down the exchange to just what you are responding too.  Now, if it is a quoted post you are responding to, perhaps think about eliminating some of the extra content in it.  A good rule of thumb would be to only keep the content that is relevant.  When you quote everything you are assuming the idots on the other end need to read the whole exchange in order to glean from your wisdom.  We are all away of some of the plankton swimming in this board, but no need to insult the rest of us by multi-quoting your back and forth.

Second:  Weren't you the guy touting every player wearing green and gold and "destined to make the team" and destined to have an impact" during the pre-season?  That would lead some to believe you were pretty impressed with the skills of talent acquisition and preparation by the staff.

PS- no need to quote this post at all if you are the next person to respond.  No one needs to read this post again to guess that your are responding to this post.  For the especially thick, you could start you post by saying "bong" or "EKB" and most would figure it out.  That would even work if say there were a couple posts in between this one and your potential response.

Many thanks for your willingness to, at the very least, keep this board clean and readable.

Options at WR are pretty thin.  Of course you want the guy to get on track so you try to feed him the ball.  Unfortunately he just isn't responding.  I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the hook this offseason or seriously demoted.  I'm betting we see another 2nd round WR this year.

Yeah, The GBP Rules. And, why aren't they coaching up the one player we have at the position with speed? They give him a fraction of the opportunities Adams gets.

Henry, glad to keep you entertained...

How many more times do we see this staff **** the bed? Cuz there have been some real hot messes they've left on our schedule, ruining what was a at one time promising season. Last I looked, we have a 2nd round pick in Adams unable to run effective routes and unable to catch. Our starting C, Linsley is regressing to the point he lost his starting spot. Bakhtiari is a turnstile at LT. Cobb and Jones dropping countless catchable passes. Richard Rodgers is half assing it all up and down. Palmer can't shut down a simple WR screen. Nick Perry shows up for one or two games per season. Datone Jones runs hot and ice cold. Same for Mike Daniels. Where are the game changing plays from Matthews? Peppers? wow.

As **** shows go, this is pretty impressive. Haven't even brought up our Offensive Uncoordinator.

Yeah, draft and develop is going pretty well... clearly.

So confusing. Bong.

Things were looking pretty good through the first 5 weeks of the season. After that, I can't explain it. Looks like a big set of coaching problems to me. With all those players underperforming?

Are you ****ing stupid?  Do you think draft and development haven't been a part of this organization when they won the Superbowl or made constant post season appearances?

Christ, get a ****ing grip.  They are having a down year due to a change up in coaching and injuries.  The proof is how they adjust.

Quit with the hysterical sweeping generalities.

How about you just **** clean off? Wanker.

Seriously, Henry.

Yeah we're all disappointed and upset but you'd think we were talking about Jacksonville or Cleveland or some such dreck that's been bad and incompetent for years.

Packer fans have had it so good so so long, relatively speaking, that some just can't deal well with the vicissitudes of sport.

Let's see if we can sum this up.  Trophies would like to scrub the organization clean because they are having an atypical season due to some change up in the coaching structure and injuries?  Is that what I'm reading?

Scrub the entire organization clean because of a down season?  Don't even wait to see the adjustments/additions/subtractions even if the season is lost?  Did I get that right?

How about we all piss our pants some but come back around to realistic conversation about the bumps and bruises on this team without getting caught up in a hysterical frenzy that the sewer urchins emerge for to relish.

Way, way, back when...

Injuries have impacted the plan. The players and coaches won't use injuries as an excuse, but it is a big reason why this team is under-performing over the past month, minus the Vikes game. In that Vikes game they actually looked like a balanced team, not so much in the other games.

c,

I guess I'm just questioning what we all consider "success." Sure, we've had a bunch of winning seasons and division championships. The league is tough. Winning it all is tough. But, that's what we are after. Kind of difficult to see that happening this season, now. Watching other games around the league, our speed at WR is practically absent by comparison. Our O is regressing and we aren't getting consistent play from our front 7.

Yeah, we are all disappointed.

Henry, I'm just questioning what we are seeing with what a lot of people considered a really good team, pretty much disappearing in 4 games this year.

Hungry, what do you want? Our staff has done nothing to get Kennard Backman up to speed. Montgomery would have had an impact. Adams is not anything like he was in TC. Janis has not been allowed to contribute offensively. The corners we added are pretty damned good if I'm not mistaken. A lot of players we were all looking to take that next step seem to be regressing.

Yeah, they looked great against MIN. Great. That kind of points to this being a really talented team. How do they all just disappear the following week? To me, that seems like a coaching problem.

This thought might be way out of left field, but I wonder how much the coaching staff trusted Adams after last year?  They drafted Montgomery in the 3rd round after locking up Cobb/Nelson long term.  They keep Abby around even with his injury history.  Just a thought.

In terms of where the change will come from, it won't, this year.  As it is in life, coaching and winning are about being able to adapt.  Business/medicine/marriage/parenting, those who do it successfully are able to change when needed.  That is why N.E. keeps winning.  Belicheck is a master at adapting.  His game plan is to take advantage of the other team's weakness.

MM doesn't seem to do that as well.  If he doesn't figure that out and put people in place that can adapt, he will fail.

Whatever.

This is a little more than a discussion. Incessant whining and demanding change because a team is 7-4 and doesn't meat your expectations. Want your team to be the glorious NE Patriots because they have the greatest coach and they are the greatest team ever.

This team has issues on offense. Too many injuries. No magic way to fix it. Need to play better with what they have.
