Trent Baalke sent Brooks home today.

"We excused him from team activities to get on top of this"

That's a great choice of words for someone charged with sexual battery, right?

I swear, I don't want the 49er off-season to end, ever.

Baalke said the 49ers have tripled their staffing and financial resources in their player engagement program since the organization has experienced numerous off-the-field issues with former players such as Aldon Smith and McDonald.

So they went from spending $1 to $3.  Big deal.

You called it a long time ago, boss. Baalke and crew lived off of Scot McCloughan's drafts and torpedoed Harbaugh's efforts to discipline the inmates out there.

Can't wait to see Seattle follow suit soon. But this implosion has been spectacular.

I'll say this about the stammering caveman. He doesn't have a lot of talent left on defense. But the guys he does have will run through a wall for the him. Defensive players love the guy.

As as far as the offense. Kaep and the starters played the entire first half last week. Zero passing yards. Kaep is going to pull it down and run 200 times this year.

If it is an expansion team, I'd name it the "Alcatraz Muggers".

Finally?

While we lost the last 4, before that, they were our bitch since about 1989.

I'm more concerned about the Vikings than the Niners.

That sentence speaks volumes

Yup, and the Vikes seem to have found a formula for Teddy: keep the passes short. That's why his completion percentage is astronomical. They are going to be the new Walsh Niners: spread the ball out on short stuff, strong running game, hide the lack of a strong pass-blocking Oline with the short stuff and the run. Every now and then toss one deep to keep the D honest. Their D is suspect, but they will want to control the clock and keep that unit off the field. If they can do that, they will chew up a lot of clock and keep the other team's O off the field for long stretches.

I actually expect the Queens to have a good defense this year. Their front 7 will be very good, and if Harrison Smith stays healthy, their defensive backfield will be quite a bit less of a liability.

Still don't expect Bridgewater  to be a great QB, but he really looks in command of that offense.

Funny thing about the Vikes, well, one of the many funny things about them. Their best chance at a Superd Owl win was not in one of the 4 they played and lost, but in the one they didn't get to thanks to Late, and Across the Middle. Favre had one of the best years of his career and sure seemed like he was going to get that 2nd Lombardi, and then he did what we as Packers fans had seen too many times. That time it was a thing of beauty though.

The end was both predictable and inevitable. Zero chance they would have done anything except added another humiliating SB loss to their repertoire.  Bert did them a favre by choking sooner rather than later

My favorite was the 41-0 shellacking by the Giants.
