I'm glad they got Gillett. Close shave I'd imagine.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

2:00 PMThe Packers announced the full 10-man practice squad, but Jumal Rolle is nowhere to be found. Names not previously reported are: wide receivers Alex Gillett and Kevin Dorsey, linebacker Adrian Hubbard, defensive end Luther Robinson, and center Garth Gerhart.

2:10 PM: Something is fishy regarding Jumal Rolle, as the Green Bay Press-Gazette's Ryan Wood reports:

We'll try to keep track of this situation as it develops.

Packers' Final(-ish) Practice Squad

WR Kevin Dorsey
WR Alex Gillett
WR Myles White
RB Michael Hill

Sounds like several teams made secondary claims for Rolle and possibly as 10 teams offered him a PS spot once he cleared waivers.

The fact that he decided to come back to GB tells me there might have been a double secret promise a roster spot might open up once someone's concussion clears.

It was dicey but Rolle and Banjo are back. Ted  knows what he's doing.

Gillett has hit his ceiling as a player. He can catch and knows the routes, but he's never going to be a significant contributor to a team. He's a below average athlete. Myles White can catch and can run the routes and is a very good athlete. No mystery as to why Gillette was the odd man out. Some of you seem to keep looking for the next Donald Driver...some scrappy underdog that proves everyone wrong and makes the team. Problem is guys like Driver and Shields aren't scrappy underdogs, they're elite athletes that just got overlooked. You have to be an elite athlete to play in the NFL now, getting by only on intangibles isn't enough anymore.
