Really, all 10 practice squad players were with the Packers in camp? I know the Packers are a draft-and-develop team, but do you find that unusual considering your experience?

It’s what I expected and I tried to convey that expectation several times. The cut to 53 is greatly overhyped, mostly by the fans. They envision dramatic decisions, but that’s exactly what good general managers are skilled at avoiding. They use every means available to them for storing talent, especially young talent. The Packers have invested time in the development of players the team believes have a future in pro football. Why quit on them now? Don’t think in terms of 53, or even 63. Think in terms of 90. Everybody begins with 90, and by the time the season has played out and players have been moved to injured reserve, most teams finish at or near 90.

As good a guess as any out there.

I was actually referring to Michael Rodney's latest stroke of genius. He used to be a much more balanced Packer fan, now he seems to constantly think every roster move TT makes is stupid. Every player TT keeps it seems Rodney thinks there was someone better that got cut and every time a player has a bad season or even just a bad game it's because that player actually sucks and not just a slump. I think the worst thing that ever happened to him was Mason Crosby rebounding with a tremendous season after his pitiful 2012. Sometimes it seems he hopes the Packers fail so he can say I told you so. It's sad because I used to really like PU and Michael Rodney's posts.

I don't think either Gillett or White will be in the league in 3 years, but of the two, I also preferred Gillett. At least he has size. I don't see anything White has going for him. I know his 40 speed is good, but I almost never saw him make a play down the field, even in practice.

White was getting ST return work during training camp.  Granted he struggled, but if they think he can correct it that gives him a leg up on Gillett.  Some of these guys are injury depth more than development guys.  If it gets real thin at least they're around to know a role and get the team  by without going out of the program.

Agreed, if one of the Packers top three WR's goes down early in the season I'd expect Myles White to be elevated to the roster and see more playing time than Adams and Janis.

Packers roster is still only at 52 . Wonder if Rolle said "see ya" to Ted ?? Or if Ted just let him go.

Thank the lord we still have Demetri Goodson !! He will eventually fit right in with this   defense.
