That was right after Kaminsky went out with what looked like could be a concussion And Koenigs foul trouble forced them to play Showalter.

Holy crap what possessed Showalter tonight. if they advance further, his sequence will become the stuff of legends.

This was the only point I was afraid. Usually when the announcers say things like this it means a loss. But this team just does not give up. NC Shoots 74% from the 3 line, they still don't give up. Then they just sink the free throws. They are free, why not? Another victory. The Elite Eight.

Gasser had a three play sequence in the middle of the second half while Bucky was down that IMO was perhaps the key to the game. Offensive rebound tip to Dekker for 2, a stellar stop on a one-on-one fast break and another stop the next time down. Kid is just nails. Received the most praise of any Badger player from Roy Williams in his post-game presser.

A great team win. Their maturity and calm under pressure is extraordinary.

I'm not sure how to process that whole game.  I came away impressed with, and confused by NC.  Clearly they made shots like crazy, but I didn't really see and offense that was a well oiled machine.  It really seemed like another game where one player from the opponent went of for a pile of points in a losing effort, but they didn't really have anyone score that much.  It felt like we were out-rebounded, but that wasn't the case.  North Carolina plays horrible defense (maybe that is how Roy gets that "pace" that is so important to him, just give the opponent easy shots early in the shot clock), but Bucky missed shots they have hit all year.  If NC isn't unconscious from three, or Bucky hits a couple more shots, this game is a 15 point win.

On to Arizona, nice to see Trae get some court time.

EDIT: Forgot to mention Gasser was amazing

UNC is interesting. Something tells me that RW is coasting a bit now. McD All-Americans fall into his lap as often as spray tans options.

After one of the games in the Big 10 tourney, I commented that Dekker seemed to lack a clutch gene.  Wow, was I ever wrong and am elated to have a few portions of crow.

At a real high level, Bucky shot poorly for much of the game, NC shot lights out, and when the game started getting fairly close to over, Bucky just stepped it up a few notches.

This team just doesn't seem to melt (choke).  I love that in a team.

That sequence that included the Gasser steal was so entertaining.  Quite a turning point.

I suppose I'll post this here since it happened during the Badgers game.

At halftime of the Badger game, I switched over to Notre Dame - Wichita State.  I know someone here mentioned how strong ND looked.

Wow.

Their offensive display during this portion (again, halftime of Badger game) was among the finest I have ever seen in college basketball.  It was like they dropped a nuclear warhead on Wichita State.  It was pretty amazing.

Why anyone thinks Roy Williams is a good coach baffles me ... He singlehandedly raped the state of Iowa of basketball talent while at Kansas.
Good recruiter yes.
Good coach, not seeing it at all.
IMO, wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him .... Bet he has NEVER check the status of a kids academic standing until the assistant said he might be ineligible.
