Well... at least they got the win. Sh*t defense tonight, but it's sure great to see Middleton out there hitting pick and pops and showing the stroke is right there. Giannis was unguardable - whatever he wanted whenever he wanted it. Monroe continues his solid stretch of play with another 25 and 8.

Thre are worse things than going into the AS break on a 3 game win streak. But because of that horrific January, they're 25-30 and in last place in the division and a game out of the 8th playoff spot. But they're also 3.5 game out of the 6th spot.

It'll be fun to watch Giannis this weekend...

I saw the Detroit game, but not the Nets game. It was only wins against a mediocre Pistons team and a lousy Nets team, but the offensive production is certainly there.

How long do you think Beasley and  Monroe stay in Milwaukee? Those two have combined to go 41 for 53 in the last two games. Beasley reminds me of a poor-mans Tracy McGrady. When he gets going, there is virtually nothing the defense can do 1 x1 against him. The guy is 6'10" and smooth.

Either Beasley or Monroe are ideal guys for a top tier playoff team as offense off the bench. I think their defense leaves a little to be desired, but so does Parker's.

Barely squeaked it out versus a bad Suns team

Giannis with another ho hum almost 30 point game.  Man does he remind me of KG early in his career.  It's him and no one else.

Teletovic has been a complete disappointment.  Now Delladova seems to be tanking.  What is it with this team and signing free agents to long term deals?

One star... and a bunch of bench players. Until the Bucks have actual stars around him, we're going to see these performances. Parker probably will never be a star, and was struggling mightily before he got hurt.

Look at today's game- they're falling apart until Brogdon takes over. This kid has a chance to be special. But it isn't going to be this year. Meanwhile you have a $17m big man who is ok. Henson can't even crack the lineup anymore. Dellavadova is a backup G- not a starter. Snell is the same. Beasley is trying to get a multi year deal, so his efforts are strong for now.

Its just not what we thought we were getting. And since Maker is 2-3 years and If Brogdon continues to get better, they have 3 pieces. The good thing is Giannis is 22. The bad thing is we have 2-3 more years to wait for the team to be any damn good...

The Bucks are such a weird team. It looks like they have all the pieces to be a 50+ win team (at least before Parker went down), but the sum ends up being less than the parts.

They have a legit top 10 NBA player in Giannis. Parker is at worst an updated version of the Big Dog - when healthy he'll score 20 consistently. They have a great guard out of the 2nd round in Brogdon. They have a big guy off the bench that can score in the post in Monroe. Snell and Jason Terry are decent guys to have as role players. Middleton should work his way back by the end of the year to being a good piece as well. They should be a decent defensive team as Giannis, Brogdon, and Snell should be good on-ball defenders. Beasley is a great offensive guy to have off the bench.

I only watch them 2-3 times a month, but maybe someone else can say whether this is just coaching. If you gave this group to Popovich would he win 55 games?

In the East once you get past the top 3-4 teams the rest is nothing to write home about.  I'm torn if they should tank or make a playoff push.

Unfortunately they are in no mans land.  Good enough to compete for the 8th seed but not bad enough to (likely) secure a top pick in the lottery.

At this point I am not sure they can count on Parker but you can build a team around Giannis and Middleton and Brogdon and possibly Maker.  Maker is the wild card as he has such a unique skill set and his work ethic is excellent.   People compare him to Giannis but he's a different guy.  Sort of mix between Durant and KG.   Either way, if Maker makes a Giannis type improvement this is an intriguing team.  I still think they need an enforcer type or someone can D up the opposition and Teletovic has not made the impact on the 3  point shooting.

Still a lot to be excited about

Yes. But there's only one Pop...

Their effort and intelligence on defense are the main reason they're not further along. They make mistakes that young teams do- lots of them. Monroe had never been asked to be a defender, but this year he's actually putting forth the effort. They're an improving rebounding team- but it's inconsistent.

They still give up the corner 3... is that coaching? I don't know if Pop makes this a contender. They'd be better, though.

Youth is frustrating. But with Giannis they have a transcendent player. That's the key to winning.

I was flipping back and forth between the Bucks bag of suck and the Celtics/Cavs. Beyond the obvious (LeBron, Kyrie, etc.), both teams have a lineup full of shooters. Every position. Someone gets an open 3, it's net.

Man, Giannis is playing like sh*t right now. Back off him, let him shoot, take away the spin. 5/13 from the field, 15 points. But they get out-rebounded 14-10 offensively, 31-24 defensively, and they were never closer than 12 points.

Well, the Bucks play Toronto tonight and they'll be without Bucks killer Kyle Lowry (wrist). Of course, Middleton won't play for the Bucks, and he's playing pretty well now. But after forcing 23 turnovers (for 41 points) and seeing Antetokoumnpo get off the schneid some last night, maybe they can finally solve that Raptors riddle tonight.
