I can't read beyond the firewall, but that birth year includes Durant, Steph Curry, and Russell Westbrook. Does this include just their NBA salary or does it also include their shoe endorsements?

Just based on NBA contracts, Durant has already earned 300 million and is guaranteed another 190 million more. Curry is at 254 million and is guaranteed about another 210 million. Westbrook is at 288 million and is guaranteed another 47 million.

Between Durant, Curry, and Westbrook they are already pushing 3% of all the money earned by black men born in 1988 and they are at 842 million and are guaranteed another 450 million. If you add in the shoe money and other endorsements and investment income after they retire, it's not inconceivable they could exceed 10%.

That's insane, both from the money they'll make (and Curry and Durant probably deserve more of the NBA cut) and for what it says about the earning potential most other black men (and probably the majority of all men) have in this country.
