Would you really trade him for 5 first round picks right now? Any team Giannis goes to has almost zero chance of picking towards the top of the draft. You'd be trading him for essentially 5 guys like Donte DiVencenzo and DJ Wilson.
You almost never get true value for trading a superstar player. The Bucks got a pretty good haul for Kareem 45 years ago, but I'd have rather kept Kareem. The Bucks had a better chance to win a title with prime Kareem surrounded by a bunch of average guys than they did with Junior Bridgeman, Dave Meyers, Brian Winters, and Elmore Smith and a bunch of average guys.
